With sweeping views of meadow and old growth forest, we are just steps away from the wild and scenic North Fork Nooksack River. The space Other than ravens and owls who make themselves known from the forest hillside, our place is very quiet thanks to its location at the end of a long driveway. Once you go through the gate, your parking spot is in front of the carport. White french doors at the end of the carport signal the private entrance and welcome you into our cozy, compact space (12x20sf). The kitchenette, simple and efficient, includes microwave, two-burner cooktop, coffeemaker, mini-refrigerator, cookware, dishes and washer/dryer. Please note that dishes are washed in the bathroom sink just off the kitchenette. The soothing bedroom includes a queen sized bed, cushioned bench reading nook and shelves for luggage. Overlooking the cedar-filled backyard is a wide wooden ledge with stools for enjoying a meal or laptop computer work. The bathroom features a comfortable tub (21" high) plus drain rack for washing dishes. Guest access Feel free to explore our entire property, including the meadow and old growth forest beyond. Other things to note A 50AMP outlet is conveniently located in the carport for electric vehicle charging. You would need to have the appropriate adapter. Other than a six-foot wall conjoining the kitchenette and the main house where an eight-year old child resides, the guest suite is an independent structure.
