Walk to Goggin Arena or the Rec Center in under 5 minutes or Uptown Oxford in less than 10. The layout is perfect for families to share! On the first floor you’ll find the living/dining/kitchen areas, plus 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find another cozy living space & workspace plus 2 more bedrooms and a full bathroom. The space The Coaches Cradle is completely updated and adjacent to Miami University's Campus and features: *4 Bedrooms all with new queen memory foam mattresses, pillows, and bedding. *2 Full Bathrooms, each with double vanities and clean white subway tiled showers. *2 Living spaces with new ROKU TV’s. Just bring your passwords for your favorite streaming services and enjoy. *A wonderful kitchen that includes All Clad Cookware, Crockpot, toaster, spices, salt/pepper, olive oil and cooking spray. Everything you need to prepare a wonderful meal including a gas stovetop complete with griddle for pancakes in the morning. *A Coffee Bar that includes options to brew an entire pot or single cup of coffee. We provide K-cups, ground coffee, sugar, Stevia, flavorings, and even To Go cups. *A deck with Adirondack chairs and grill plus a backyard for nicer weather. *A regulation dart board in the basement along with additional seating for when the weather isn’t nice. ***We are PET FRIENDLY. We will allow 1-2 well behaved dogs per visit. Please disclose them when booking. There is a small $25 additional pet fee assessed to compensate our cleaners for extra cleaning. We love our fur babies and we know you do too. We kindly ask that dogs left unattended be crated, that dogs stay off the beds, and that all dog "deposits" in the yard be disposed of before checking out. *** Welcome to our home in Oxford! Eric and I are Miami alum (class of 1992) and became a Miami Merger right here on campus at Kumler Chapel in 1997. As frequent Airbnb guests we designed this home with our high standards in mind. We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, and we hope to share some of our love of Miami University and Oxford with you during your visit. When you walk in the front door you will enter our cozy but open living, dining, and kitchen area. The dining room table was hand crafted right here in Oxford using locally sourced lumber by two wonderfully talented gentlemen. I encourage you to check out Tree to Table online. Take a seat on the leather sofa and login to your favorite streaming service on the ROKU TV or head into the kitchen and brew up a cup of coffee and head onto the deck out back. Don’t feel like cooking dinner? Look out the front door, and across Chestnut and you will see The Red Ox and SDS pizza! Drive through Red Ox to pick up your favorite beverage and I recommend picking up a Chicago Style pizza from SDS. We enjoyed many, many pizzas from SDS back in the late 80’s. Some things never change. The bedrooms and bathrooms in the home are split with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor and another 2 bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor. This setup is ideal for families to share the space, or a group of mom’s or dad’s visiting for sorority/fraternity weekends or for sporting events. Goggin Ice Arena and the Rec Center are both a 5 minute walk from the house. If you are coming to watch a hockey game, a swim meet, or our internationally recognized synchronized skating team this is the place to stay. Head upstairs and you will also find another cozy living area, complete with ROKU TV, desk/workspace, books, games and cards. We spent hours playing Euchre as students! In the basement you will find a dart board and some additional seating as well as the laundry. We even provide laundry pods and fabric softener sheets if you need to run a load of laundry during your stay. During your visit, even if you don't have a student at Miami University, we highly recommend taking a stroll around campus, "The most beautiful campus that ever there was" Robert Frost. **Please note that there are 2 security cameras on the OUTSIDE of the house. One by the front door and one facing the driveway. These are for security of the home when it is not occupied. We value our privacy and will respect yours. Guest access You will have the entire home to yourselves, including the deck and yard, other than the locked owners closet in the basement. Other things to note *We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance in the event you need to cancel your trip unexpectedly. You can elect to purchase it at checkout. * There is room in the driveway to park 2 cars (possibly 3). Parking on the street in is available by permit only. There is a GUEST parking permit hanging by the front door for use during your stay. It MUST be returned to the hook prior to your departure as the city of Oxford will not replace it. * There are 2 security cameras on the front of the home facing the front door and driveway. They are for security purposes only when the home is not occupied. We value our privacy and will respect yours. *Please let us know if you will be brining a pet. We do allow 1-2 dogs per visit with an additional pet fee of $25. Dogs must be crated when not attended and we kindly ask that all dog "deposits" in the yard be disposed of prior to departure.
