There are 3 stairs to enter the home. Large screened-in front porch. Huge Great Room stocked with games, books, puzzles, large wall TV and a fireplace. Laundry room. 2 bathrooms (1 with a shower & 1 with a tub). Fully stocked Kitchen with ice maker and an eat-at counter. Another TV and fireplace off kitchen area. Separate dining room. 3 bedrooms. This is our vacation home. All are welcome here! We ask that you treat it with the same respect and care that you do your own home. The space Off the beaten path. Surrounded by mountains and lots of trees. Backed up to the Nantahala Forest. Great for a small Family Reunion or a get-together with friends. NOT a party house. Guest access Things to do in the area are gem mining, River Rafting down the Nantahala River, tubing at Deep Creek in Bryson City or exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take a day trip to the Cherokee Indian Village or go to Asheville to visit the Biltmore Estate, The Western North Carolina Nature Center or even drive over to the Gatlinburg, TN Dollywood area. Other things to note We find that sleeping with the windows open creates a perfect environment for a good night's sleep. However, if you need them, there is a window a/c unit in the sitting room and a portable unit in the Great Room. If you are visiting in the cooler months there are heaters located in each room.
