This is large space offering of Offshore Breeze offering located in Mitiwanga Beach (Ohio's best kept secret). This out of the way but still near everything destination is ideal for large family gatherings. If your getaway will bring you to the Cedar Point, Kalahari, Sandusky area, then we welcome you. we:ve developed a reputation offering absolutely everything you might need. if you forgot it, we didn't. *Remote boat parking is available, however we do not have any on our property. The space The "Crew Quarters" has 2 dedicated bedrooms with a 3rd room that can either be set up as a dining area or another bedroom. (We are hoping to add a Murphy bed to make the transition easy.) It will have access to the sun porch with a big picture window pointing towards the beach. This unit will have a half bath, so getting ready won't result in an anxious traffic jam in the morning getting ready for a trip to CP. Crew Quarters has a living room with access to a paved patio at the back of the house, stocked with a propane grill and privacy. And of course there will be a laundry unit en suite, so a week's stay won't require finding a place to wash clothes. The house has 3 total units, but designed with "soundproofing" in mind. We updated to a state-of-the-art on-demand hot water system that makes sure that nobody will run out. The whole house was stripped to the bones and rebuilt to industry standards. What we found when we started remodeling is how she got her name, "Shipwreck house". She is a brand new boat now. The beach is only about 200 yards away. It is a community private beach with about 50 resident who have access to an all sand as far as you can walk beach. There is a ring for fires in the evening, and if you look across the bay you can see Cedar Point's coaster roaring in the not to distant. There are also several piers for fishing, where you can reel in yellow perch, white bass and catfish. Immediately across the road, beyond a row of parking spaces, are tennis/ pickleball courts, a basketball court and a volley ball net so family gatherings can always turn into a competitive memory. I will update this when everything is done, but for now, If you know Mitiwanga, you know, if you don't you won't be let down. It is a unique space on the North Coast. Guest access "Crew Quarters" is the largest and most spacious of the 3 units at "Shipwreck House". It has a front room with lots of windows for sitting. It has a paved patio in the back with an area that is great for grilling. The kitchen is fully capable. And as Guest you have access to all the amenities including the park with tennis/ pickleball courts and of course the beach. Other things to note This is our second house in the area. We have operated The Hibiscus House right down the street for four seasons, two on this platform. Along with our vacation rentals, we also offer kayak rentals for a nominal fee relative to local costs. The fee can include delivering and retrieving from local attractions. By summer's end I hope to offer "sunset sails" from the deck of a sailboat located in nearby Huron. But that is still in the works. This house is the efforts of now two generations, born and raised here in Erie County. My father was a Marine and was stricken with Dementia 6 years ago. I walked with him on that last journey and was able to keep him comfortable at home until he passed in Dec. 2022. These rental units were his life's work and I saved them from being consumed by medical costs. Now, I am taking the reigns and paying him homage by offering a space for families and friends to make memories that bring them closer together and last a lifetime.
