Make Whispering Woods your home while you fish or explore the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. Enjoy the natural wood accents of our comfortable, semi-secluded sleeping cabins with a shared kitchen/bathhouse featuring a cozy kitchen. We are pleased to announce the addition of a toilet and sink to each of our cabins for our guest's convenience. Other amenities include a BBQ, outdoor fire ring, and limited small boat parking. The space The property is located on an old homestead plot that was later subdivided into smaller acreages. No neighbors are visible from the property and guests will find themselves in a quiet Alaskan arboreal forest. Guest access Guests are welcome to wander about the area (just be aware of potential wildlife). There is a trail nearby that leads to a local lake (about a 30 minute walk one way) or ride your ATV. We are in close proximity (1/2 mile) to Enselewski Lake where the Alaska Fish and Game Dept. has recently started developing a Sea Plane Base. Guests who chose to travel by float plane are welcome to use this base to tie up and with advanced communication with us, we can arrange to transport you if you don’t want to walk. Other things to note We are “Pet friendly” but you are responsible for your pet and any damages they do. Also we appreciate your respect in disposing any pet waste (recommend bagging in plastic and disposing in outdoor trash can) and not polluting the area. Barking dogs or dogs that bother wildlife will not be tolerated. FISHERMEN: Please refrain from cleaning fish here. The smells of rotting fish remains are not only unappreciated by everyone but they also attract flies and bears that live in the area which causes a safety issue. CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO MANAGE ALL GARBAGE.
