Come forest bathe in this unique cabin set right on the edge of Mill Creek in the Gila National Forest. Stunning mature trees, wild flowers, peaceful stream, a waterfall, and walking distance to extensive hiking trails. The cabin lies 5 minutes from the ghost town of Pinos Altos, 15 minutes from the town of Silver City and an hour to Gila hot springs and ruins. The space The house boasts two bedrooms (queen and full size beds), each of which has closet space and dressers for guest use. The light green room has kids toys and books, with kids equipment available in the closet (travel crib, stroller, backpack, detachable highchair). The spacious "Jack and Jill" style bathroom has towels, toilet paper, and shower products. The large open living room has amazing views, a single size daybed, and a reclining couch, in addition to a dining table and chairs. There are a few games as well as local guidebooks and tourist brochures to help orient you! The kitchen is fully stocked with an induction stove, oven, microwave, pots & pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, and cups, and useful appliances (coffee maker, French press, toaster, electric kettle, mini waffle iron, blender, popcorn maker). The private deck is equipped with sun loungers, and an additional picnic table and hammock chairs await under the covered bridge. There is a hammock hung by the stream next to a small table and chairs for snacking, journaling, and relaxing. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house except closets, cabinets, or drawers labelled "Owner's Closet" or with a lock icon. The out-buildings located on the property are not for guest use. Other things to note ** The cabin has no TV or wifi access ** Sprint and T Mobile have great cell reception but other carriers have spotty coverage. You can pick signal up by heading a couple miles back toward Silver City ** The water in the Retreat is filtered directly from Mill Creek and a naturally occuring spring on the property and is not suitable for drinking. We provide two 5-gallon bottles of filtered water which are welcome to refill in town should you need more ** There are NO FIRES allowed on this property ** Fire extinguisher is under the sink and fire alarms are in both bedrooms
