Downtown comfort with side street charm
Relax and unwind after a day at the mountain with all the comforts of home. Nestled in downtown Rangeley this spacious home is a short 8 minute drive to Saddleback and a quick walk to the lake, local restaurants, and shops. The huge backyard offers room for play and a small fire-pit. Linens are provided along with trash bags, TP, paper towels, bath and kitchen soaps, assorted toiletries and a small pantry. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are books and games for all-ages. The space Our single-family 1,500 sq ft home sits on 3/4 of an acre with a huge backyard and plenty of parking. The entrance breezeway has space for coats and shoes, there are a few lawn games that can be found here along with extra dog-supplies. In the kitchen you will find pots and pans of all sizes, and plenty of dishware, along with a coffee-maker, microwave, toaster and bakeware. There is an island with bar-seating, and lots of cabinet-space filled with goodies. The dining-area has a table that seats 4-6, and some craft-drawers with art-supplies. The bathroom is spacious and has a tub/shower combo; the vanity is filled with plenty of towels, extra items that guests may have forgotten, dog-shampoo and brush, and a stocked first-aid kit. The living room has a 52” TV with a Roku and a DVD player. Seating includes a love-seat, recliner, and a futon. Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms, however only 3 are currently in-use. The first contains a queen bed, and the other 2 have a twin and a king respectively. The third bedroom also has a large built-in desk and a 30” TV with VHS player. There are multiple fans along with a white noise machine available for use as needed. The huge yard outback has a small table with umbrella and 6 chairs. There are 3 anti-gravity lawn chairs, a charcoal grill, and a small fire-pit for evening marshmallow-roasting. Guest access There are 2 storage rooms that are off-limits but otherwise the whole house is yours! Other things to note This home has been used for years as a secondary residence. It is an older home and though we are constantly upgrading and improving there are parts of it that still retain the ‘Grammas house’ feel. We conquered and replaced the leaky-roof but there are a few stains on the ceiling as well as some wallpaper seams that need attention. These aesthetic challenges are high on the honey-do list, but may not be completed before your stay. The floors may have a slight slope, and the antique-windows have original glass. The stairs can creak, and a strong-wind will produce some howling; but just like the grandparents house of our youth, it’s clean and tidy and we believe there’s no better place for a good-nights sleep.
