Starting at the deck going downstairs, it is your private domain. The deck will lead you right in the front door of The French Cottage. Other things to note - This listing is a *basement apartment; please be aware that we live upstairs.* - To access the suite, you will need to walk around an outdoor deck (see photos). This may be cumbersome for people with heavy bags. Please ensure this listing will fit your needs before booking. - Please ensure all guests are accounted for within your reservation. We DO NOT allow anyone that is not accounted for onto the property, even if they do not plan to stay the night. Unannounced guests will result in a $100 per guest, per night, charge to your account AND you will need to vacate immediately. - The home is situated in a wooded area in Georgia. We can not guarantee you will not see gnats, cockroaches, or other bugs. We've put diatomaceous earth around the edges of the floors and walls which is non-toxic to humans or pets but is detrimental to bugs. If you are sensitive to insects, this listing may not be the best match. - This is a *nonsmoking* property, both inside and out. Please do not smoke anywhere on the premises. - The lake is open for swimming, fishing (no fishing from the sandy beach allowed), and boating (no motorized boats allowed). There are walking trails and a beach, great for lounging and enjoying nature. **The HOA requires that guests complete a Release of Liability in order to use the lake facilities. Please note this must be done prior to receiving a parking pass** - Every 14 days, there is a mandatory mid-stay cleaning required. There is an additional $75 charge per cleaning, which will be added after booking (if applicable). This cleaning includes: cleaning the kitchen and appliances, cleaning the bathroom, refilling toilet paper, paper towels and soaps, changing towels and sheets, and vacuuming
