The Fox House is a charming lakeside cottage by luxury design and hospitality firm, Field & Lake. Filled with custom and vintage furnishings, the Fox House offers the comfort of a private home together with hotel-like amenities that transform any stay into an unforgettable getaway. Downstairs centers around a vaulted open concept living/dining room with gas-fireplace, and a gourmet chefs’ kitchen with panoramic lake views, a Breville espresso maker, Bertazonni gas range, and Monogram appliances. An intimate four-season heated sunroom rests off the kitchen and includes expansive lake views, relaxed seating for four, and a well-appointed vintage bar. Upstairs includes three bedrooms, all with lake views, including a primary bedroom with a memory foam king bed and en-suite bathroom, a queen bedroom with expansive corner lake views, and another bedroom with two twin beds. There is also another full bathroom on the second floor with walk-in shower. Outdoor Amenities The Fox House offers guests considerable outdoor amenities. The house features two lakeside patios equipped with lounge furniture, a Weber gas grill, an outdoor dining table with seating for eight, and twinkling overhead string lights. End the day around the large firepit with 180-degree lake views or take a swim in the lake directly from the house. Respecting our Neighbors The Fox House is located on a private lane, which makes it feel secluded and quiet. In consideration of our neighbors, we ask that all guests agree to the following: - No events or gatherings are permitted. This includes a strict prohibition on weddings and bachelorette/bachelor parties. - Quiet hours are prior to 7 am and after 9 pm on weekdays and after 10 pm on weekends. During quiet hours, we ask that guests please move all discussions inside and keep noise to moderate levels. - Strictly adhere to the street’s 15 mph speed limit. There are often people and dogs walking along the street. - No outside music speakers, fireworks, or movie projectors - To ensure a peaceful atmosphere for our guests and neighbors, we have noise monitors located inside and outside the house. The monitors did not record conversations but will signal if the noise levels reach above 75 dB (equivalent to a party atmosphere). If this occurs, we will send a note kindly asking guests to lower the noise. Pet Policy We are a dog family ourselves and understand how nice it is to bring them along. We welcome one (1) well behaved dog per house with a non-refundable pet fee of $250 per stay. Please contact us if you wish to bring a dog. If a Guest brings a dog and does not inform Field & Lake, a $1,000 pet fee will apply. A few important things to note: - The dog must be healthy, up to date on rabies and DHPP (vaccines for Distemper, Adenovirus (Hepatitis), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus). - The dog must be flea and tick free and on current treatment. - Dogs must be leashed when outside to avoid crossing into the neighbors’ yards or the street. - The dog is NOT allowed on furniture or guest beds at any time (we have the same rules for our dog). Evidence of any pet soiling/damage on the furniture or bedding will incur extra cleaning or replacement fees. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any and all dog refuse as well as cleaning the dog before she/he comes inside. Please bring your own towels to wipe dirty feet. - As responsible pet owners, Guests agree to accept full and complete responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by the dog or suffered by any person during Guests’ stay at Field & Lake. Guest access There is an electronic lock on the front door. Prior to your stay, we will be in touch to provide the combination. Other things to note A few additional points to note when planning your stay: The Fox House is located on a quiet street, which makes it feel secluded and private. We ask that all guests be mindful of our neighbors and refrain from large gatherings or loud outside noise or music after 8 pm. NO parties or events are permitted. If a party or event is thrown, we will please ask you to please leave and you will not receive a refund. Please note that the Fox House does NOT have A/C. There are windows and fans throughout the house to enjoy the cool lake breezes. There is a maximum capacity of 8 people, including children. Additional guests must be pre-approved and additional fees may apply. 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to our wonderful local cleaning staff (i.e., no profits to us). We believe strongly in paying livable wages and ensuring a professional level of deep cleaning between guests.
