The 1919 Mountain Farmhouse
Welcome to your charming mountain getaway—The 1919 Mountain Farmhouse! Located just 10 minutes away from Montpelier and 30 from Stowe, this newly renovated 1919 farmhouse comfortably sleeps eight and is the perfect choice for a relaxing stay. Nestled among quiet farmland, you and your guests will enjoy sipping coffee/wine on the back deck with full mountain views. After a fun day enjoying local trails, shops, mountains, and more—a table inside or outside awaits a meal to be shared with all. The space As you drive up to your home away from home, you’ll pass sprawling fields with 180 degree views of the mountains and a fully renovated 105 year old farmhouse along with the original barn and milkhouse . The house comes with a front porch, back deck and a sprawling backyard for enjoying the natural, peaceful beauty of the area. Inside the house, there is an open great room with comfy couches, smart TV, and all original hardwood floors. Moving to the fully equipped custom kitchen, there are brand new appliances and a farmhouse sink for the chef in your group. All four bedrooms are carefully appointed with amenities for a great night’s sleep—memory foam mattresses, 100% cotton sheets, and blackout curtains. Downstairs bathroom has a curbless/wheel-in shower and a custom vanity featuring a cast iron sink. The upstairs large bathroom has a freestanding tub for a relaxing soak, a walk-in shower, and a farmhouse trough sink fit for two. After a long day of hiking, skiing, leaf peeping, or simply enjoying Vermont, you’ll love to come home for dinner around a large farmhouse table or picnic bench outside. While you plan your trip, don’t forget to add this farmhouse to your wishlist! Guest access You will have full access to the house, garage, backyard, and both patios/decks. The barns, however, are not cleaned out nor structurally sound so please do not enter. Also, the attic and basement are not finished so please refrain from entering. Other things to note Your host is also a local farmer that offers farm tours for a small fee. Also, delivery of our family raised beef, lamb, pork, or Cabot products can be arranged! We are experienced with traveling with young children so the house comes with kids' books, games, pack and play, kids dining ware, and more. If there is anything additional that you need, let us know and we will try to provide it! The house is surrounded by fields, therefore you may occasionally see wildlife or smell manure being spread on field. The barns, basement, and attic are currently unfinished and guest access is not allowed.
