This lovely 2 bed and 1 bath (with shower) riverfront home is on the Delaware River and very close to the entrance of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and Appalachian Trail. This 1,006 square foot home was completely renovated in 2023 and is setup comfortably for up to 4 adult guests. It is an open floor plan with back door leading to a spacious deck, giving the home a feeling of being larger than it is. The home is located in a sleepy community, so if you are looking for peace and solitude with access to water and nearby hiking trails, shopping, the Poconos and casino, this is the place for you! The larger bedroom has a queen bed, large-screen smart TV, closet, dressers and night tables with reading lamps. The smaller bedroom has a full bed, closet, dresser and night tables with reading lamps. The single bathroom is small but modernized and a beautiful shower with hot water and good pressure! The full kitchen has all modern appliances and amenities with a passthrough to the dining area. The dining table sits 4 people comfortably. There is also a High Top counter that seats 2 people. This is great when you're hanging in the kitchen and others are in the dining area. An RO filtered faucet is at the kitchen sink. No need to bring water bottles. Just bring your reusable bottle and fill up from there! The main living area is a combined sitting area and family room. The sitting area has seating for 3 around the wood-burning stove. It's great for those chilly evenings! The family room has a sectional sofa to watch your favorite programs on the smart TV or just gaze out to the river while reading a book. There are games and puzzles in the cabinets and shelves. There are extra blankets laying about for your use. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home including attic except for the basement. The basement is for owner storage and supplies. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: We love children! However, this property, with its proximity to the river, is not suitable for children. We do not accept reservations that include children under 12. This is a mid-term rental. We provide starter soap, shampoos and detergents for your convenience. All utilities are included in the price and the lawn is mowed (in season) bi-weekly. We do not charge a cleaning fee! We do ask for some things to be taken care of prior to your departure, such as starting the dishwashers, stripping beds, ensuring you have all your personal possessions and taking/disposing of all food and beverages from refrigerator and cabinets. On the other side of the river is Interstate 80 in New Jersey. You can hear road noise from the interstate however it is quieter in the summer months when the trees are in bloom. This home has direct river frontage, but no dock. The neighbors to left and right have docks, please respect their private property and do not enter their docks. Across the road from front of house is a railroad track that is mostly inactive. There is no commuter train that passes. On the infrequent times a train does come by, it is an event for neighbors and guests to come out and take pictures! The train never comes by at night.
