In this very private, serene space you can listen to the sound of the loons and enjoy exploring our pristine, quiet lake, in any season. The house is modern and spacious, with beautiful views and walks along the lake on 11 acres of forest - and yet is easily accessible by car and equipped with everything needed to spend time with family and friends, as well as do some work in a separate office with high speed internet. Now it's still a beautiful Indian summer here, with the first blush of Fall. The space The house offers almost 4800 sq. ft. of space on three levels, with a finished basement serving as a gym and a library/den (table tennis set up, stationary recumbent bike and treadmill, yoga mats, pool table, sleeper sofa for extra guests, TV, wood stove, fridge and hot/cold water dispenser.) The main level of the house offers open plan kitchen/dining/ living room with a fireplace, full bathroom with washer/dryer plus a separate small office with a desk and printer, and a three season room opening to a large deck with a grill and outdoor dining setup. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a large fridge, a dishwasher, and a gas stove. There is also a small patio off the kitchen, as well as the two front porches. The sofa in the living room can also be used as a sleeping arrangement for two extra guests as needed. The second floor offers the master bedroom with a king size bed. It has a small balcony overlooking the lake and a bathroom with a large shower and a clawfoot tub. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed and also has lake views. It shares a full bathroom (shower/tub combo) with the third bedroom which has two twin beds, and also overlooks the lake. There is ample storage on this level, as well as an additional twin bed in a transitional room leading to the master wing, perfect for families with children. Guest access Guests have the use of the whole house and there is plenty of parking in front of the house. The driveway continues as a path along the lake and offers a nice walk on the property, and is shared with only one neighbor who owns a small cabin at the very end of the path. Other things to note Please note that our lake is the water source for the town of Hillsborough and therefore, there are no public beaches and therefore, motor boats and swimming are not allowed. The lake is very private, pristine, with clean algae-free water and abundant fish and wildlife. Only kayaking, canoeing, fishing etc. are permitted, and we provide plenty of watercraft for our guests to launch from our dock. On another note, due to unprecedented heat this summer, we have just installed brand new and efficient window air conditioners throughout the main and second floors, to ensure full comfort of our visitors, no matter what weather.
