There are NO smart meters, wifi, smart appliances, tv or internet. A vintage analog corded land line phone is provided for guests to call anywhere in the USA for free. A mapbook will be available to use, and there will be lists of area amenities, places to get fresh local seafood off the boat, and natural scenic, and hiking areas. Property is like no other on the coast of Maine. Geographically unique, the property has no interference from cell towers, there are no visible neighbors, and no electronic interference from neighboring properties. With an easterly view, you can't get any better. On a clear day, when the solar positioning, and atmosphere is just right, you may witness the elusive green flash just as the sun breaks on the horizon... truly amazing ! Don't forget about the Moon Too ! The same dramatic easterly ocean view, also has the best moon rise viewing available. If the lunar cycle is right, the Moon Man will will greet you with awe inspiring colors, and brightness, that you will never forget ! Bald eagles nest in the Forest Surrounding the house, other seabirds, and wildlife are commonplace. There is forest all around the property. Seals and seabirds relax and forage in the water, and on the rocks. Groups of seals and birds will chase schools of pogies in the water, as they come near shore in season, and it is a sight to see. Also Explore the surrounding forest of the property, with nearly 3 private acres around the cottage, there is lots to see. Lobster fishing takes place in the deep water right in front of the property. Watch the boats out for the days catch. You can enjoy the catch too ! There are several lobster piers in town, to purchase lobsters, crabs and other seafood right off the boat. A list of some suggestions will be available. There is a large outdoor propane boiler available, to use for your seafood feast, at the cottage. A well equipped kitchen for your culinary delights, with an assortment of small appliances, and a nice table with seating for 10. The pure uninterrupted darkness of the clear skies, offers ultimate celestial gazing. Stars, constellations, and even other planets can be easily seen with the naked eye. Good Binoculars will enhance the experience. Also, distant lighthouse beacons can be seen from the islands nearby, and offshore. Artists, Photographers, and Writers can get creative here. Quiet, Magical, Inspiring, rugged landscape and ocean views, are sure to get the imagination going. You may want to stay at the cottage everyday, but if not, there is also the option of Hiking in the many public wild conservation, and wild preserve lands in the nearby area. An example is the renowned Great Wass Island preserve. It's just a short drive to the neighboring town of Beals Island, there is a bridge to get to the island in the center of Jonesport. There are also many Historical locations and other natural features, to visit in surrounding areas, and there is a historical society in town. Another option is day or half day trips. World famous Acadia National Park makes for a wonderful day trip. West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec, is another fine example and a great place to see. If you like to make little side trips, make a plan, as there is a seemingly endless amount of worthy visits within a drive from the cottage. A list of some suggestions will be available. There are Outdoor games available to use, as well as indoor board games, cards, and puzzles. Eating out options are possible as well. There are some options right in town, but more options a short drive to other neighboring areas. A list of some suggestions will be available. Now is your chance to share the experience of this private Oceanside retreat. The only neighboring person ( through the woods on separate land ) is the host, their house is not really seen, and is Not in your view at all. During your stay you will never really see them, unless you need help. Upon arrival to the property guests will meet with the host in the parking area. ALL electronics will be given up and put away securely, in a locker, at this point for your stay. As modern vehicles all have some type of GPS or satellite tracking, vehicles will remain in the designated parking area and quests will need to walk down the driveway to the cottage. A large cart will be provided to haul luggage, or host can help if needed. At this point guests will be given a friendly reminder, about how compliance with the previously agreed upon and signed rental agreement is required. Also that the property is monitored for usage of modern wireless electronics. If it is found that guests at any time break the rules and sneak devices, according to the rental agreement, they will be required to leave immediately without a refund. Failure to follow these rules will be considered a criminal violation of host and other guests human rights on private property, based on involuntary EMF exposure. Because host and other guests cannot tolerate modern electronics interference, folks with wireless communicating medical devices or monitors are unfortunately not allowed to stay. Animals or pets of any kind are not allowed, including service animals. As hosts and other guests are MCS and ES, and are sensitive to animal exposure or contact. A special note for electrosensitive EHS guests. As previously mentioned hosts are electrosenstive and highly EHS, and understand guests who are too. Background RF does not register on acousticom Am-11 and is less than .02v/m. However there are spikes of interference from buck's harbor station which was built in the 1960's and is about 10 miles away. Even though hosts are highly sensitive they are not affected by this interference. Hosts have lived at the Searenity estate for over 40 years, and are extremely happy to share this wonderful property with others !
