Conveniently located across the street from the Glacial Drumlin State Trail 18 miles to Alliant Energy Center 17 miles to WI State Capitol Easy access to Highway 12/18 and Interstate 94 The space Glacial Drumlin Guest Suite is a cozy one bedroom rural stay. If you are looking for a quiet place relax with easy access to miles of hiking/biking then this is the place for you! We are located equal distance between Cottage Grove and Deerfield, WI. Bike into either city for dinner, drinks, or ice cream. Wake to bird song and enjoy evening frog song while sipping beverages on your private garden patio. Take in colorful sunset walks on the trail. Bird and wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the variety furry and feathered friends that visit the marsh. Kitchen includes an electric stove and full sized fridge and freezer. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. Cooking essentials and a few breakfast and snack items will be provided. Kitchen views include flower gardens and prairie. Relax on the comfortable sectional sofa in the living room while watching your favorite show, reading a book or playing a game. The TV comes equipped with ROKU. The full bath has a walk in shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. 1st aid kit, bug spray, and sun screen can also be found here. The bedroom has a memory foam topped queen mattress. Closet with luggage racks, extra blankets, iron and ironing board, and hamper. Black out curtains and white noise machine for added comfort during your stay. Please note there is a 150 foot walk from your vehicle to the guest suite private garden entrance. This walk is through yard and over natural rock paver steps in the flower garden. The terrain is uneven in places and may not be ideal for those with mobility challenges. The walk is not paved. See photos. 5G WIFI is available to guests. Guest access Guests will have access to the private guest suite and garden patio. Guests are welcome to walk the property trails and visit the creek. Bikes are available to use on the state trail. Other things to note The Glacial Drumlin Guest Suite is the lower level of our home. You may hear us or our dog pattering around upstairs. We have a small flock of friendly free ranging chickens that enjoy exploring the gardens and prairie around our home. You will likely encounter them during your stay. Fresh eggs may be provided with your stay. A friendly old dog also lives with us and is often seen outside exploring and enjoying the sun. She loves meeting new people so please let us know if you would prefer she not say hello. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate animal companions. Due to our own animals onsite we are not able to host other furry friends. Please note that we have honey bee hives on the property. Please be mindful when walking the property and do not approach the hives. The bees thank you for understanding and have graciously provided honey for your stay. The property is a mix of wetland and prairie. During certain times of the year the bugs can be bothersome. Bug spray and bug nets will be provided in the guest suite bathroom.
