The Outback of New Hampshire
Enjoy the peaceful countryside of New Hampshire. Your hosts, Ed and Rachel, are a retired couple who would love to have you enjoy a peaceful stay in a private section of their new retirement home. Even though the main home is occupied, you may never see the occupants during your stay. You have a private drive, a private parking space, a private entrance. The home owners use the front doors and very seldom go into the back yard so it's almost like you're there alone. The space Located in a quiet, wooded, neighborhood, "outback" of our new retirement home and "down under" in our bright daylight basement level we have created a beautiful new studio apartment with an Australian theme. Turning up our private drive, the road will split and a sign will direct you around back to your own parking spot. A short path will lead to your own private entrance. The key code that we will send you will unlock the door and 4 steps down will bring you to a brand new (2023) studio apartment equipped with what you need for your stay. We went all out to make this the most sound proof room of our home. The mini-split heat and air conditioning keeps the unit comfortable year round and the guest has control of the temperature. The full service kitchen is there if you want to cook up a feast, or you can just nibble on the free snacks provided for you. We do ask you to refrain from frying meats, bacon, sausage and the like. It will set off the homes smoke alarms and leaves odors unpleasant to future guests. The laundry closet off of the bathroom has a stacking washer and dryer for your laundry needs. Hosting is our new "retirement job" and we want to do our best. We want to learn by experience and from our mistakes. We hope that your stay will be as special to you as it will be to us. Guest access The large back yard is there for the guests to enjoy. Other than some friendly cats you may witness some of the wildlife that passes through our yard unannounced. Other things to note We have full home generator back up in case of power outages which do happen during New England winters. Speaking of winters we have a pickup and a 4WD tractor on site for snow removal. No waiting for the plow guy to get you out after a snow storm. One other item that should be mentioned. If you are a tall person over 6'-6" tall we don't really recommend you staying here. Some parts of the unit have lower ceilings because of the building structure of the home. Sorry.
