This tiny cottage is nestled behind an old farm house on a 100 acre working farm just 25 mins south of Downtown Dallas. The 200 square foot space features a detached / shared bathroom connected by the front porch with beautiful stock tank soaker tub. Inside there is a bunk-room complete with full and twin size beds, a cozy loft with a queen mattress, and quaint living room with futon, electric kettle, microwave, and mini fridge. If you need a place to escape the hustle and bustle this is it! The space Mars Hill Farm is a working farm, so you'll see people baling hay, planting, moving the animals, etc. You are welcome to get to know our animals, especially our chickens and our friendly dog. The tiny cottage is located at the front of the property, near another house where the farm's caretaker lives. There is a pavilion with a fire pit and chairs just outside the cottage - build a fire and make yourself at home! Please be aware that the bathroom is occasionally used during the day by people on the farm. It is separate from the house, and the doors are connected by a porch. Guest access There are two houses on the property that have full-time residents who work on the farm - those are off-limits. Please also stay out of the barns unless you are with a farm employee. Otherwise, make yourself at home at the fire pit, picnic tables, orchard, and everywhere else! Other things to note The farm is run by Christians, and we have people of many nationalities and religions working here. For this reason, we respectfully ask that you refrain from any activities that may be counter to our beliefs. And obviously, please don't do anything illegal! *OCTOBER IS OUR HARVEST AT THE HILL SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL!* Book in October, and wake up among the sunflowers! Any stay during October comes with free admission to our Harvest at the Hill festival. The property will be open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30-2, and by appointment on weekdays, so please know that other people will be on the farm during those hours. Cut your own sunflowers and enjoy fall with us!
