A word about our cleaning protocols….We have a larger family that stays in multiple vacation rentals a year. We know, firsthand, how the cleanliness of a rental can make or break your vacation. Unlike most vacation rentals, we wash/change-out all duvet covers, extra blankets, living room throw blankets, and living room throw pillow covers between every guest, in addition to all the typical bed sheets and pillowcases. Our cleaning process is extremely extensive because we know that your relaxation and enjoyment depend on it. Our home is owner-managed and cared for because we believe that you deserve the highest level of guest experience and peace-of-mind during your vacation. We strive to be very transparent about our rules - many of which are set by Baileys Harbor's short term rental ordinance. Our standard check-in time is 4pm and our standard check-out time is 10am. We require a signed rental agreement, waiver of liability, and a $300 credit card security deposit hold for all bookings. The name used to book the reservation must match that on the credit card and the signed rental agreement. The rental agreement and security deposit hold must be completed within 48 hours of booking (or before check-in for last-minute bookings) to finalize your reservation and prevent cancelation. Our home is located on a private road with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. We cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions or other rowdy gatherings. Our home is located directly adjacent to the historic Kangaroo Lake Causeway and across from a local favorite restaurant, Coyote Roadhouse. Like most locations on our narrow peninsula, guests should expect some road noise. The sounds of outdoor dining may also be heard when staying at our home. Many of our guests enjoy our proximity to both the causeway and Coyote Roadhouse. Guests planning to bring a boat must inform us at the time of booking. No jet skis allowed. Furniture may change when compared to the photos as we constantly attempt to maintain the comfort, quality, and cleanliness of our home's furnishings *** Door County Tourism Zone Commission Permit #02-56-2706-07 About our home: THE LIVING ROOM Relax in this newly remodeled, modern, open space with gorgeous lake views and a gas fireplace. Enjoy the smart tv, record player and vinyl music library. The living room is comfortable and complete with a leather sofa, two leather recliners, and two fabric chairs. THE KITCHEN The beautifully designed kitchen has everything you need to make meals or enjoy a glass of wine on the lakeside deck. New appliances, dishwasher, and extra barware are present. The dining table seats six with extra kitchen island seating. THE PRIMARY BEDROOM WITH ENSUITE BATH You'll love the lakeside bedroom with a queen-sized bed, smart tv, and ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has a patio slider allowing you to access the lakeside deck to drink your morning coffee or have an evening glass of wine. Our fully remodeled ensuite bath has dual vanities and a luxurious walk-in shower with a rainhead, classic, and handheld shower heads. THE LAKESIDE QUEEN BEDROOM Enjoy the second lakeside bedroom with a queen bed, room darkening shades, closet, and a smart tv. THE TWIN BEDROOM The cozy, but adorable, "twin room" has two twin beds, room darkening shades, closet, and a smart tv. THE HALL BATH The newly remodeled hall bathroom has a modern tub/shower combination. Full sized laundry machines are also found in the hall bathroom. THE GAME ROOM We thought a lakeside game room was more fun than a real garage, so that's what we did. The game room has a glass overhead door making access to and from the lake a breeze. Stream the big game, play bumper pool, shuffleboard, pop-a-shot, our Pac-Man arcade game, or challenge someone to a friendly game of cards. THE GREAT OUTDOORS Chicory Lake House is a direct lakefront property on Kangaroo Lake with private (non-shared) water access. Enjoy our provided kayaks and paddleboards, or just stay dry and play a few yard games. Fish from our pier or sun on our lakeside loungers. Spend evenings making memories around our lakeside bonfire pit. Outdoor amenities include: •Large fire pit with six Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood (two bundles) •Lakeside Trex deck and flagstone patio •Patio table with 6 chairs (extras available on site) •Kayaks (7) 4 adult and 3 youth size •Paddle boards (2 adult and 1 youth) •Gas grill with extra propane provided •Two lounge chairs & pads •Pier - typically installed from late May - mid October. (4-5 feet deep at the end of the pier) Jumping or diving from the pier strictly prohibited. •Access to outdoor shed, which contains: Life jackets (4 youth and 6 adult L/XL size), outdoor games & activities (Corn hole, Ladder golf, Football, Frisbee, 2 fishing poles w/small tackle box), and marshmallow forks No boat lift however, there is room to anchor a small boat along the pier (at your own risk). ***Guests planning on bringing a boat, must inform us at the time of booking. No jet skis allowed. Swimming conditions: Fishing shoreline with reeds and rock bottom. Water shoes recommended. Typical of most inland Wisconsin lakes, swimmers itch occasionally occurs, but is unpredictable. We recommend vigorously toweling off or showering after swimming. Guests are also welcome to log into their personal streaming apps. •Wi-Fi, Strong enough to support Zoom meetings (due to the rural nature of Door County, WIFI and cell phone coverage and service can vary) •No pets. •No Firearms, smoking, tobacco, or vaping allowed on property •Burning of candles or other open flames prohibited Electric Vehicle Charging: NEMA 14-50 240V outlet. Capable of Level 2 charging with the appropriate adapter- adapter not provided. This will charge the average electric vehicle overnight. Kangaroo Lake Public Boat Launch is located 2.8 miles away along the east shore of Kangaroo Lake on 7563 S Kangaroo Lake Drive. Guest access Whole home. Lakeside game room garage access. No garage access for vehicles. Other things to note Provided: Bed linens, pillows, blankets, bath towels, kitchen towels, beach towels, and hair dryers are provided. We supply paper products including 2 rolls of paper towels, 6 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, as well as hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap and garbage bags. We also supply one travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash per full bathroom. We recommend that you bring shower essentials for stays longer than two nights. Due to Wisconsin health and safety guidelines, all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you might need such as cooking oil/spray, aluminum foil, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.
