As with every room at our inn, Salem is unique from furnishings to color palette, including the beautiful red fireplace (non-operational) with original tile and cover from the early 1900s. This room can become a two-room suite when joined with the Tanglewood room, if you are traveling with family or friends. The Shaffner has retained historic charm while expanding to include modern amenities such as free WiFi, 43” smart, flat-screen TVs, alarm/clock and USB charging stations. Each room is outfitted with luxurious Matouk linens, duvets, pillows, robes and monogrammed towels, as well as Peacock Alley blankets and monogrammed pillows. For your convenience, we also provide complimentary face wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, as well as an iron, ironing board, and hairdryer.
