Located just 20 min from the New River Gorge National Park, this cabin is nestled in a remote / secluded WV "holler" (small valley between mountains), where a creek flows and is surrounded by nature. The cabin is perched on a hill that overlooks the babbling creek in the front, and has acres of mature wooded forests to explore in the back. As you enter the cabin, you immediately get a comfortable, homey feel. The interior was hand crafted with all rough cut lumber, the stone fireplace was built with stones from the property and the large living spaces make for a comfortable family night. The two story living room is open to the Dining and Kitchen. There is a main level bedroom and bath with claw foot tub, and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a shared jack and jill bath, with shower. The wrap around front porch will be your favorite place to relax after a busy day. Kitchen is stocked with Keurig coffee pot and essentials. With no wifi, this is the place to UNPLUG and relax. Go hiking, white water rafting, biking, fishing, 4 - wheeling , hang out in the hammock, read a book , build a fire in the fire-pit, soak in the claw foot tub, and count the stars at night. Explore the nearby Gauley River or hop on your ATV for a thrilling ride through the rugged terrain. Let the kids play in the creek, explore the woods, and get back to the basics! Located in Fayette County, WV, amenities and activities are within a short distance. 15 minutes from Fayetteville, 25 Min from Sommersville Lake. Get away from it all and come explore! Guest access You will have access to the entire home . Other things to note Rich Creek Rd is a one lane, windy - curvy gravel (your car will get dirty) road that goes up and down the mountain. NOTE: If you are driving with a trailer, message us so we can let you know the best way in. 4 Wheel drive is a must in the Winter. NO WIFI , phone, or cable, but there is a TV with DVDs to watch. There is also an antenna radio and record player. Cell coverage is limited, but there is some service. The power occasionally goes out. There are flashlights and solar lights on porch. This is a wooded area and there are bugs. Bring your off deep woods spray. Old coal mining town.. you will see abandoned houses.
