The space The Gathering Place is nestled in downtown Frenchburg, a small and quaint town only 20 minutes from the Red River Gorge Geological Area and multiple marinas. The farmhouse was completely remodeled in 2022, with brand new bathrooms, kitchen, and hardwood restored to its original condition. The first floor features a spacious kitchen and dining room, half bath, laundry room fully equipped, living room with electric fireplace, and master bedroom with master bath. On the second floor, the farmhouse has an additional full bath and three bedrooms, each with ample closet space. The back deck overlooks a small creek and firepit, a beautiful place to spend time with friends and family. The home also has a large sunroom, perfect for sitting with morning coffee and a book, or for spreading out kids or pets to play and rest. One thing that's great about the Gathering Place is the location! Conveniently located right between Morehead and the Red River Gorge and close to the large town of Mt Sterling, you are a short scenic drive to dozens of things to do and restaurants...here are a few to consider: *Kentucky Folk Art Center located in Morehead *Cave Run Lake and multiple marinas * Morehead State University, home of Beaker the Eagle *Gateway Regional Arts Center located in downtown Mt. Sterling *Ruth Hunt Candies located in Mt Sterling (this is a local candy maker that has been in business since 1921!) *Kentucky Reptile Zoo *Red River Gorge (by visiting the tourism page you can view the dozen plus activities the Gorge offers, not including the endless number of trails and hikes available) *Broke Leg Falls, located just minutes from the Gathering Place. *Longbow Marina, one of the closest marinas to downtown Frenchburg. *Carrington Green Golf Course, a par 72 course Some local favorite places to eat! Guest access Guests will be sent a code for the automatic door lock on the morning of their check in. That will be the code for the duration of the stay and will automatically cancel upon check out time. There is parking available in the driveway and back side of the residence, plenty enough space for a truck and boat. There are also several street parking spots available directly in front of the residence. GPS at times does not take you directly to the residence. When coming into downtown Frenchburg, the home is located two buildings down from the Subway on HWY 460.
