You can’t get any closer to the ocean! This is special. This is where artists are inspired. If you love nature and need quiet, calm and anonymity, look no further. The sunsets are unrivaled. Hike the preserve. Stare at the ever-changing ocean. Lobster boats come right up close to our pink granite, deep water frontage. No mudflats here. Floor -to -ceiling glass in the cozy cottage gives the illusion of being on a boat. Easy access to the island by bridge. Come breathe! The space It’s a beautiful little cottage perched just above the Atlantic on smooth, pink, granite ledges. There’s well thought-out spaces and storage, reminiscent of a boat builder’s design. Guest access Entire cottage. Please keep in mind that this is not a “rental property.” This is our heart. This is a place with a history that we respect. We hope to retire here. But until our boys finish school and make their own way, we are dabbling in this Airbnb business. We know the rate is low for what it offers. I have finally added a fair cleaning fee this year. I do it all myself because I want to know that it meets my standards. (I don’t just clean the linens. Blankets and comforters too! ) And I won’t ask you to clean, because you’re on vacation! We may regret some of these decisions. But we feel very fortunate to have been able to acquire this place and want to share it with others who will appreciate it. Have a wonderful time! Other things to note If you are looking for nightlife, this is not for you. This is for nature lovers and for those who want quiet and who can entertain themselves. There is no wifi (Gasp!) but cell service is solid. The library on the mainland is a lifesaver if you need wi-fi. (Four miles away.) There is no television. (What the…?) You won’t want to look away from the ocean. Our frontage is spectacular but potentially dangerous. Be careful. For easier swimming there is a gorgeous beach at the town park. And a spectacular one in Jonesport. (Sandy River Beach) Reminder: THIS IS A RENTAL FOR TWO ADULTS ONLY. One vehicle. NO EXTRA PEOPLE.
