Kayak or paddle board off your own dock and head towards Medina Falls where the Erie Canal and Oak Orchard River intersect. Take a stroll along the Erie Canal, and enjoy the historic village of Medina. Don't forget to check out the Canal-a-Culvert -tunnel featured in "Ripley's Believe it or Not!" The space The property overlooks picturesque Glenwood Lake with over 100' of lake frontage to enjoy on your next vacation. Just a few minutes from the historic village of Medina, you can experience the engineering feat of the grand Erie Canal, visit the Medina Railroad Museum, take a stroll to Medina Falls and enjoy the many shops and restaurants along the way. Visit the Cobblestone Museum just 15 minutes from Medina to learn more about the sandstone and cobblestones architecture in this region. Fishing is plentiful, choose to fish off our private dock, head to Point Breeze on Lake Ontario or enjoy a fishing charter or boat tour. There are hiking trails, bike paths or take a 15 minutes drive to the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge where you can enjoy some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities. The lake house is only a few miles from grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, gas, Millers Bulk Food and Bakery, local farm markets, laundromat, and coffee shops. We are located on a quiet street, making it a great place to relax, enjoy nature and the amazing views from our back deck. The home has plenty of lake charm with all the modern amenities. We are not handicap accessible, we apologize for any inconvenience. We welcome children, however we are not child proof and there are several steep drops off the property, so keep this in mind when booking. Also, be patient as we are updating the grounds/landscaping. *****Please note: This is our second home and appreciate you treat it as your own, any damages will be assessed. No smoking or vaping in or near the home. We do have cameras on our property for the safety of our guests and liability for owners. Watch your step as there are a few high steps entering the rental. Renter agrees to take full responsibility and liability for use of any of the amenities (kayak, paddle board, dock, etc.) we offer our guests. ****Patio Furniture/outdoor seating, kayak and paddle board are seasonal from late spring through fall. Guest access Driveway allows guests to pull up to front entrance. The garage is NOT accessible to guests, it is for owners use only. Other things to note We do not provide unlimited toilet paper, paper products, garbage bags, dishsoap, etc. for your entire stay! Please plan accordingly. We DO provide starters of all these things including what previous guests have left unused.
