The Guest House is for nature lovers looking to slow down, unwind and UNPLUG. Consider this Extremely Glamorous Camping! Please be down with these facts: 1. There is an outhouse and the (hot) shower is outdoors and in the open 2. We are in the woods of NH so precautions about wildlife and insects always apply 3. There is an antique 2 burner stove top (no oven) that you light with a flame. 4. We cannot guarantee your cell coverage and have no TV or wifi. 5. The only heat source is a wood stove. The space This cabin is ideal for 1-2 people. We've got 1 large open room (20x20) with a small kitchen, dining banquette, woodstove, and large sectional sofa made of 2 twin beds. There is one bedroom with a queen Casper mattress and small desk with a view (and a curtain for a door). The large screen porch has a dining table and lounge seating. There's a front deck, chairs and benches throughout the property, and a beaver dam viewing platform. The bathroom is an outhouse that is 55 steps from the screen porch. Guest access We've got 15 acres that are surrounded by dozens more of Audubon land and a pond so if you follow their rules there is a lot of exploring to do. There aren't official trails on our land but plenty within a couple miles. Other things to note We cannot guarantee your cell coverage (we have Verizon and get 1 bar). There is no TV, wifi, or AC. Most guests report having more coverage than they thought they would! May thru mid-August means you will be dealing with the normal amount of insects to be expected for summer in NH. We can help you prepare for these things! Mid-August thru October is almost bug free and glorious. Leaf season starts in late Sept usually. It peaks around our last week open. You will probably need to be comfortable operating the woodstove in May, Sept, and Oct. (we will leave a handy step by step guide) as it is the only heat source. It can heat the whole cabin really well. We are 1 mile from Pleasant Pond, the best swimming spot ever. We use scent-free laundry detergent, Blueland and Dr. Bronner cleaning products. Sometimes we have to use a Swiffer so we can't guarantee chemical/scent free in all our cleaning products.
