After arriving in the area we had an issue with the Airbnb property that was originally booked and had to find a new property promptly to check in. Erika was extremely quick in getting back to us and was helpful during a stressful moment. The property is even better than pictured and had entertaining activities for all the family 2. We had an amazing stay at Mtn Views. The host Erika was more than accommodating. The home is nestled in the mountains. Private but not far from all the resort has to offer. The view from the enclosed sun room was one of our favorite spots. The sauna and the hot tub were a touch of luxury along with the robes and slippers. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Friendsgiving dinner. We absolutely took advantage of the karaoke and the kids loved the game table. We can’t wait to return! 3. We had an amazing stay at Erika’s. The place was just as beautiful as described and everything was seamless. I had a girl’s trip with 7 of my friends and the place had everything we needed- from an espresso machine, to bathrobes for every guest. The jacuzzi is a bonus. The host was very responsive throughout the trip. Will highly recommend this gem of a place. 4. Beautiful location and the house was gorgeous! Driveway is steep, but you’re in the mountains so it’s to be expected! Kitchen has every appliance known to mankind. Perfect for a work retreat. It was comfortable and space for everyone. 5. Loved this home! Could’ve sat on this porch for the rest of my life. Felt right at home and the hosts were so helpful and responsive. Highly recommend! 6. Incredible house perched in the mountains! Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you may need. Beds were comfortable and the house is very spacious. Perfect for groups. Hot tub and sauna were amazing and super easy to use. House was very clean and well stocked. The driveway is very steep so just be mindful of that. We even saw a mommy and baby deer in the yard every day! There aren’t many airbnb’s I would stay at again but I am already excited to come back to this one! 7. Erika’s place was just stunning! We ended up with just a group of 7, four adults and 3 young children, so there was plenty of room for all of us! The basement pool table, air hockey and games were great for the kids! Hot tub was great for us! We did make the waffles one morning and they were delicious! They have everything you need to make and enjoy them! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could want for cooking which is awesome! We have some picky eaters so cooking at this retreat was best for us! The beds are comfortable as well which I find important! 8. Amazing hosts! Super responsive and very helpful. Ericka answered all my questions promptly! The place is absolutely beautiful and the amenities are top tier! Everything from the clean bathrooms, huge sunroom, hot tub already heated with new water and firewood/charcoal being provided. Best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Would love to come back here again in the future and stay longer. These hosts deserve all the praise for their 5star Airbnb listing. This was the perfect weekend getaway from the city. Perfect for any group or family. 9. This place was amazing!! Erica accommodated our last minute stay and was super responsive the entire time! The place is immaculate, hot tub & sauna both with mountain views. One of the best air bnbs I've ever stayed at, and I travel frequently. Certainly one of the best in the Massanutten area. Also has a user's manual and signs for all her technology; overall so more amenities than any air bnb I've stayed at. 10. We booked Erika’s home for a Spring Break getaway with 3 adults and 2 middle schoolers. We all had a blast! The house was just as described and had all the great amenities listed (and some I didn’t expect like bathrobes and slippers!). The kids particularly loved the game room and everyone really enjoyed the hot tub (which is pretty private and not within clear view of neighbors). The location is perfect, being in Massanutten Resort and we enjoyed being relatively close to hikes at Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. I will say the driveway was a little nerve racking to navigate the first time but that’s to be expected in the mountains and Erika’s done a great job of adding markers so you can clearly see where the edges of the paved driveway. Are there restaurants close by? Massanutten Resort features several dining options that are within the resort as well a number of restaurants outside the resort. In addition, Door Dash provides several local restaurants that can deliver right to the home. Where can I get groceries & other supplies? Massanutten Resort provides a grocery delivery service that delivers a wide selection of groceries and essentials direct to the house for a $5 fee with delivery times that are Mon - Fri 9 am - 5 pm with deliveries on Sat & Sun must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. Target Grocery delivery is available through Door Dash & is free with a min order of $35. Food Lion is about 10 minutes away outside the resort. Walmart Delivery (Walmart+ subscription required) is available as well. Is their cell reception & Wi-Fi Internet? Mountain Escape has good cell reception & there is complimentary WiFi Internet as well. Is the home child-friendly? Mountain Escape is child-friendly. We have several sleeping areas that are great for kids including the Second Level Twin Bedroom & the Lower-Level Sleeping Nook. Is the home monitored by a camera? Mountain Escape is equipped with two outdoor security cameras. The cameras are located at the front & garage facing side of the property. There are no indoor cameras. What Massanutten Resort amenities are available during our stay? Mountain Escape is located in but not directly associated with Massanutten Resort. The amenities offered by Massanutten Resort are available to guests subject to appropriate costs, fees, &/or advanced scheduling. Massanutten Resort offers many unique amenities including the Indoor/Outdoor WaterPark, Ski & Adventure Park area, two fantastic golf courses, farm-to-table dining experiences, shopping & recreation options, along with a day spa for complete relaxation & rejuvenation. Many of these activities, including the skiing, ice skating & outdoor water park, are only available during certain times of the year. All guests will be provided with our Mountain Escape Welcome Guide which has all the information on all the amenities within the resort as well as activities & attractions outside the resort. What supplies do I need to bring to Mountain Escape? • Mobile/cell phone as no landline is provided. • Groceries or plan to eat out often. • A small complement of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, facial soap) are provided for the three (3) full bathrooms. These toiletries will typically last two (2) days depending on usage. For individual needs & extended stays bring additional toiletries. • Additional paper products for extended stays. Two rolls of paper towels & two rolls of toilet paper for each of the four (4) bathrooms are provided. • A small complement of dishwashing liquid, a sponge, detergent packs, & kitchen trash bags are also provided. Is Mountain Escape difficult to find? Although Mountain Escape is located within Massanutten Resort on a mountain, its location is not difficult to reach with or without GPS. We do strongly recommend that an all-wheel drive (AWD) or preferably 4 wheel drive vehicle be used for travel to Mountain Escape as the resort area has some roads, including the driveway, which have high inclines & declines as well as being somewhat narrow. Accessibility & Stairs The most accessible level is the lower level floor. The lower level comprises; Lower-Level Bedroom Suite with ensuite bathroom, Lower-Level Sleeping Nook, a Living Room, & the Game Room. Access to the lower level is without steps/stairs & the width of all doors & hallways is greater than or equal to 32 inches. Does this home have pest control: Mountain Escape is treated both internally & externally with pesticides every season, that said, you will still likely see all types of insects (including some that fly) & arachnids both alive & dead within the home as the home is located on a mountain & in a heavily wooded area. Does the refrigerator have a built-in water dispenser and ice maker? The refrigerator is equipped with a built-in water dispenser and ice maker, but due to hard water issues, they are not currently operational. However, we provide a stand-alone ice maker conveniently located on the counter for your ice needs. Additionally, we offer premium alkaline water bottles to ensure our guests have access to high-quality drinking water.
