When off-trail, the guest book is full of suggestions for day trips, food, and fun in the surrounding areas! The space 30 mi to Asheville 6 mi to Brevard 14 mi to Hendersonville 9 mi to DuPont State Forest 3 mi to Pisgah National Forest There is keypad entry through the front door into a spacious open-concept living and kitchen area with high ceilings. It has a split-floor plan, with the master bed/bath located off the kitchen and the other two bedrooms/bath off the living room. We provide the following to make your stay comfortable: A smart tv with access through apps to log into your account on various streaming services, a 12-cup coffee maker and grinder, toaster, blender, refrigerator/freezer, oven/stovetop/microwave with an array of bakeware and pots/pans, washer and detergent pods, dryer, dishwasher and dishwasher detergent pods, children’s plastic dishes/cups, extra blankets stored in the coffee table, soap, shampoo, and paper products to jumpstart your stay. The guest book has suggestions for places to eat, fun things to do, day trips to take, and trails to ride! It is a private residence with plenty of space between the neighbors for privacy. Longer stays are discounted, but will require a weekly cleaning, so additional cleaning fees will apply. We absolutely love and welcome our kind and considerate guests, and know that fellow outdoor lovers always understand that there is a very real risk of running into the wildlife outdoors, and an occasional small stain or scratch, a runaway hair, a speck of dust or dirt, an unwelcomed guest with 6 or 8 legs that sneaks in to visit, or any other flaw that is inherent to the interior of every home on Earth. We have yet to have any of these kinds of complaints or concerns, but rest assured that we make our very BEST reasonable effort to take precautions to reduce the likelihood that you will encounter them. We appreciate knowing about any and all flaws that require immediate attention and look forward to making your stay fabulous, relaxing, and low drama! Guest access All entrances have steps, as this home is unfortunately not handicap accessible. Navigate the property at your own risk, as you assume all physical liability for yourself and your guests when booking our home. Most of the back yard is sloped, but the side yard is nice and gradual. Guest space is the upper level, with limited access to basement for bike storage and repairs. No key is given for the basement, so you must go down the stairwell from the main floor and lock the basement door on your way out. Lawn care maintenance staff have basement access, so please store your bikes away from power equipment. Ok to use bike stand for repairs. If using the water hose to rinse bikes, you must disconnect hose from spigot so pipes will not burst! Please place water hose back inside the basement door. Other things to note Must be 25 or older to book this property! Part of the character of this home is the creaky floors! You are in the mountains and woods, and seeing the occasional bug or spider may occur. We know you understand, as it certainly happens in your own home periodically. Wildlife may also traverse the yard on occasion. Please feel free to notify me if any abnormal issues arise. If you plan to partake in any whitewater or river activities, it will be helpful for you to bring along your favorite beach towels! For those staying during peak holiday times, please be aware that Firecrackers/sparklers/etc are strictly prohibited in the neighborhood. For guests with children: no paint, markers, crayons, or sidewalk chalk are allowed. **subject to additional cleaning fees if children are allowed to disrespect the property If your children are very small, you should consider renting a home that is more suitable and safe for them. No pets are allowed on or in the property. If you are found to misrepresent your pet as a service animal, you are subject to being reported to local law enforcement and can be charged with a class 3 misdemeanor, will be reported to the ADA, assume liability and all financial responsibilities for any property damage, and agree to pay any additional cleaning fees required to restore the property to its standards. Emotional support animals (ESA) are NOT recognized as service animals by title II and title III of the ADA and are subject to the above penalties of service animal misrepresentation, as well as immediate cancellation of the reservation without refund. The Owners will make every reasonable effort to ensure that internet/TV/appliances will be and remain in good working order and appreciate swift notification of any issues that arise. Immediate cancellation and eviction will occur for the following: 1)parties/gatherings 2)more guests than disclosed 3)tampering with any electronic or security devices on the property 4)smoking anywhere on the property 5)pets on or in the property 6)disturbing the neighborhood 7)destruction of anything on the property $150 cleaning fee only applies if excessive mess or damage SERVICE DOG/ANIMAL “Pursuant to the Airbnb terms of service no service Dogs/animals may be left alone without the host’s consent. We do not give consent to any service animal/dogs ever being left alone in this home. Additionally, by renting this home, you are here by expressly agreeing that the host or their representative may enter the unit without your further consent to remove any animal/dog that has been left alone and turn it over to the authorities as an abandoned animal. We will also cancel your reservation WITHOUT A REFUND if you leave a service animal/dog alone in this home.”
