With 142 yr old features including a clawfoot tub & brickwalls from 1880 + my unique 3D art staircase, I am perfect for vintage photography or a unique space for a milestone birthday! The space Steps from Historic Downtown Liberty, "The Little House on Prairie Street" sits in the beautiful Dougherty Historic District, listed on The National Register of Historic Places in 2001! You can take a self-guided tour (map found online) including homes of Greek Revival, Queen Anne, Tudor Revival, Prairie School, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style residential architecture Guest access During your stay, will you be hosting a family dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or is your Bridal party using the Beautiful Boutique Bath to get ready for your Wedding? With adhering to The City of Liberty quiet hours (10pm-8am), we welcome small gatherings that are pre-approved by the host! You will have full access to the public parking lot, conveniently located directly across the street! For your special occasion, all dishware is available for use, with extra hosting pieces found in the antique China cabinet in the dining room - such as tea cups and saucers for an afternoon mother and daughter tea! Planning on staying while to enjoy the area? You will have access to the washer and dryer, located in the upstairs bathroom! Other things to note With a UniQuE stay, comes some unique features! Pups: We are set up to be able to welcome your hyoallergenic furbabies (non-shedding pups) with a few rules: 1. Please note before booking, although we are in the process of a fence approved by the historical committee, there is currently no fence but the home is one short block from a dog park! 2. All pups will need to be kenneled when left alone - we are more than happy to provide one! 3. With a velvet couch & leather chairs, sorry pups on the furniture, but they will be given their own antique dog bed to enjoy! Parking: 1. The historic home has a very narrow drive that can be difficult to get in and out of. Feel free to use the public parking lot across the street, if you would like more breathing room! 2. The home is conveniently located on the Fall Fest Parade (in September) & Liberty Marathon (in March) routes, making it an ideal setting for walking right out to the front porch with a cup of coffee to watch! It also means on those two Saturday morning's, the road in front of the home will be closed, (just in the morning). It will also be busier with foot traffic around the home, especially on Fall Fest weekend. Fall Fest weekend falls the 3rd weekend in September. The Liberty Half Marathon will be Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
