A lovely three-story beach-front home, newly rebuilt after hurricane Sandy, keeps the original charm of our Bay Head home built a century ago. The house features beds for 12+, a gourmet kitchen, high-speed WiFi, and is just a 30-second walk to the edge of the sand. The space This house has been in our family for over 40 years. In 2012 Hurricane Sandy nearly washed it away (YouTube "hurricane sandy bay head nj" and checkout 5:49 for our cameo), but we spent two years rebuilding, pouring over every detail. We've kept the original beach-house charm and comfort, while adding modern touches like independently controlled tri-floor air conditioning and enterprise-grade gigabit WiFi. The main floor features a stunning, street-front enclosed porch with views of the sand, a large family room, gourmet kitchen and appliances, and adjoining dining room for family meals and activities. The family room has plenty of comfortable seating, an HDTV with surround sound, an Apple TV, and Xfinity cable. Outside you'll find wrap-around decks with lounge furniture, a plumbed-in gas grill, and an outdoor hot shower for cleaning off after spending the day on the beach. The second and third floors have beds for 12 across five rooms, along with more lounge space, another large HDTV, expansive views of the beach, and extra air mattresses (sleeping an additional five guests in two queen and one twin air mattresses). The second floor has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, while the third has one bedroom and a full bath. There is also an enclosed, private outdoor shower with hot water. Third floor: guest room #5 with one full and two twin beds (twin-over-full bunkbed + one extra twin); large entertainment room with couch, large TV with sounder, and a spectacular view of the ocean; wet-bar with small refrigerator; full bath with shower.
