Other things to note Grocery Stores: Roseau has the best selection of grocery stores with the most options. Fresh Market, Whitchurch, S-Mart, and Astaphans are all large stores with a wide variety of selection. The municipal market has a great variety of fruits and vegetables; it is located on the Roseau Bayfront near the Roseau River. It is recommended that you do your main grocery shopping in Roseau before arriving in Soufriere. Soufriere has a mini-mart with all of the necessities but a very limited fruit and vegetable selection. There are some other shops with snacks and biscuits. There is a bread store that is open most days. In addition, there are women who walk around the village almost daily with fruit baskets on their heads. Their schedule is random at best, but you should be able to find them in the village Monday through Saturday.
