Welcome to the only Hostel type room in the Columbus/Phenix City/Fort Moore (Fort Benning) area! Perfect for the single traveler. This is a SHARED DORM STYLE room with 5 beds. Each bed is listed as a separate listing. Bed #2 is the bottom bunk. From our 10 years of past experience we have found that our guests are usually educated, well traveled, friendly, quiet, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of respecting each others' space. The space This spacious room is SHARED, welcoming other travellers from all over the world who will sleep in the same room. There is a bunk bed and 3 single beds. 4 lockers with locks are available for your use in this room. Bed #2 is the bottom bunk. This room is in a 4 bedroom older home in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood. There are 3 private guest rooms on the other end of the home from this 5 bed Hostel Room. Both bathrooms have a fresh coat of paint but the blue bathroom still has the original, vintage cast iron tub. Each guest is responsible for keeping their space clean and neat. This includes the bathrooms, kitchen and sleeping space. We also have a multipurpose room that has the dining table, work desk, game shelf, home gym system, exercise bike, weights, and a brochure area. Please contact us if you are interested in a private room. Guest access You will have access to the whole home except for the 3 individual private bedrooms. Please label any personal items you put in the kitchen or bathroom that you don’t want anyone else using. There is a pen and tape in the kitchen on the small shelf across from the refrigerator. Other things to note Phenix City goes by Eastern time, the same as Columbus, Fort Benning, and Atlanta. We are not located in downtown but are minutes from downtown Phenix City. (This home has central heat and air even though the picture shows an old AC unit in the wall.) If you are coming here for work and you work a shift that you need to sleep during the day, this is not the best temporary housing situation for you because there may sometimes be other guests coming and going in this room throughout the day. There are 2 outdoor security cameras on this property, one on the front porch and one on the back porch, for the safety of our guests.
