Historic Home in Heart of Oxford, MD
Stay in a historic home built by the railroad when it came to town in 1880 (look for Pennsylvania Railroad memorabilia throughout the house!). Hardwood floors and fireplace with a yard on a quiet street, but in the heart of the historic bay town of Oxford, MD — half a block to the town market, coffee and ice cream, bookstore, and gift stores, and a block to the water on both sides of the house (enjoy beautiful sunrises & sunsets on the water!). Listed on the Natl. Registry of Historic Places. The space Enjoy a screened in front porch, living room with folding bed, dining room, kitchen, half bath and separate sunroom on the first floor, with two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for a wide range of cooking needs. The master bedroom is sunken with a cathedral ceiling and lots of light overlooking the back yard, and the second bedroom has a full size bed with antique wood bed frame. The living room TV includes an Amazon Fire Stick, and there is a coffee bar in the dining room for you to enjoy, but with the town market three doors down you might just want to have them make one for you! Guest access Guests enjoy the entire house and yard. There is dedicated parking for two vehicles in the driveway. Please do not park on the street or in the front yard, as the town is very strict and fines heavily (there is plenty additional parking however on the Main Street a few steps away!). Check in time is any time after 3 pm, checkout is 11 am (please let us know in advance if you'd like to arrive earlier). Guest will be provided with fresh linens, towels, and toilet paper. Guests are asked to bring their own to toiletries. Given the historic nature of the home sorry no pets.
