This newly-renovated private cottage at Deadwood's 1899 Inn has two queen bedrooms with comfy memory foam mattresses, a bathroom with a jetted bathtub, a full kitchen, dining area, and a living room with internet-connected TV. There's a covered front porch with views of the pine-covered hills that surround Deadwood. Bedrooms have A/C. A short 15 minute walk to downtown. A $250 cleaning fee will be added for bachelor and bachelorette parties, and other events hosted in the cottages. The space The 1899 Inn is in Deadwood's Presidential District (all the streets in the neighborhood are named after American presidents), which is one of the oldest quarters in the city. No more than a five-minute walk from the important stuff, including the casinos and historic buildings on Main Street, the Adams Museum and the Mickelson Trail. The Adams House is just five houses over, and Mount Moriah Cemetery, the final resting place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, is a few minutes walk to the top of our hill. The main house is one of the biggest Victorians built in Deadwood, with seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It was constructed in 1898/1899 by H.B. Wardman, one of those rich-but-never-famous Deadwood businessmen who was mayor of the town in the 1920s. The house still has a lot of the original fixtures and 19th century technology, including stained glass, call bells, gas lighting fixtures, and detailed woodwork. This listing is for the east side of a private cottage just behind the main house. Constructed as a duplex in the 1920s, the house has a cozy covered porch with views of the surrounding pine-covered hills. This half of the cottage is a self-contained home, with two queen bedrooms, a full kitchen, one bathroom with a jetted tub/shower combo, a dining area, and a living room with a queen-size futon and internet-connected TV. If you have a larger group, you can find the west half of the cottage and the private suites in the main house as separate Airbnb listings. Although you're welcome to cook in your own private kitchen, daily full breakfast service in the main house is included with your reservation. Breakfast is served on century-old china and silver in the formal dining room. The menu varies, but almost always includes fresh sourdough bread made daily in our kitchen. Guest access In addition to having your own private cottage, you'll have access to the first-floor common space in the main house. There are two sitting rooms - one with a large-screen TV, one with a gas fireplace - and a formal dining room with a large oak table. There are also two covered porches with seating areas and a small patio with outdoor dining table. Other things to note Plated breakfast service in our formal dining room is included with every reservation. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or requests as soon as possible.
