Tucked away behind a quiet town, this property rests peacefully beside a rapid river that weaves its way through the serene forests of the North Cascades. The mid-century home welcomes you with warm cedar ceilings, exposed beams and huge windows overlooking the river. Watch for deer & birds as you enjoy the park-like yard, surrounded by lush, picturesque scenery. Walk out onto the enormous deck or lay back in the floating hammock on a clear night to see the stars like never before. The space Directly on the Stillaguamish River, our home was built in the 80s and newly remodeled in 2022. While the space boasts modern amenities like a fully equipped chef's kitchen and a brand new washer/dryer, we made sure to keep our favorite vintage pieces like the Earth Stove fireplace and large exposed beams to maintain the home's character. The layout has been carefully situated so that you have expansive river views from every room. An enormous yard, scattered with tall trees and huckleberry bushes, surrounds the house and includes a spacious fire pit area, floating hammock net, relaxing tree swing and plenty of outdoor games to make use of the open space. Guest access Guests will have access to an entire acre of gorgeous riverfront space, including 210 feet of shoreline. Although the property feels like its own world, you'll be just 5 minutes from quaint downtown Granite Falls. Just 20-30 minutes down Mountain Loop Highway are some of the most incredible hikes in Washington. The river that runs along the backside of the house is the Stillaguamish River. The 'Stilly' is home to summer and winter steelhead, coho, Chinook, chum and pink salmon, bull trout and sea-run cutthroat trout. You are welcome to fish from the property, as long as you follow all relevant fishing laws & regulations. Don't forget to send pics if you catch anything! About a mile up Jordan Rd there is a park called 'Riverscene' where locals like to park and float down the river on summer days. From the backyard, you will sometimes see people float by in tubes. You are also welcome to float from this spot; just contact me with questions about where to go or purchase tubes! It takes about 25 minutes to reach the property from the park, so make sure you look out for the house on your way down the river! *IMPORTANT: We have 2 doors that may look like the 'front door'. Please find and enter through the door closest to the fire pit wood shed (see photos). Here you'll find a keypad where you can enter using the passcode included in your welcome message. The door on the opposite side of the house (see photos) leads to the laundry room and can be used once in the house, but your code will be for the front door only. Other things to note Parking: There is an abundance of parking spaces available (see photos). You are welcome to park anywhere in the driveway or in the covered spot between the garage and wood shed. Other: There is a covered RV space on the far left side of the property (see photos) which is the only part of the property you will not have access to. The space will sometimes be occupied but it is secluded behind the large garage so you would never notice. The occupants of this space do not have access to the rest of the property, so rest assured that you will have an entirely private stay :) Indoor fire place is vintage and for decoration only.
