The cottage sleeps 4 pers in 2 bedrooms, with outdoor kitchen on the covered terrace and an outdoor bathroom with warm rainforest shower, wooden bathtub with whirlpool and double sinks. Experience the jungle up close with exotic birds, howler monkeys, sloths and ocean sounds. Only 2 minutes/200m from the mile long sandy beach. The space The cottage is located in the back part of the property. It offers a covered rustic terrace made of natural logs and bamboo overlooking the two jungle giants and the access path in between. Also on the terrace is the outdoor kitchen with stove (4 hotplates and oven), refrigerator with freezer, sink and all cooking accessories, eating utensils and cutlery. The dining area is also on the terrace. The 2 bedrooms, storage shelves for clothes and suitcases and a desk are located in the lockable interior. The spacious, partially covered outdoor bathroom with walls made of bamboo is accessible via 2 steps from the 1st bedroom. The toilet nook is still on the upper platform, adjacent to the 1st bedroom, but in the outdoor area. The elegant double sink with large mirrored cabinet, wooden bathtub with whirlpool function and rainwater shower with hot water under a large tree provide comfort for extensive personal hygiene. The outdoor bathroom has three accesses, one from the closed interior with the two bedrooms, from the outside with entrance next to the terrace and to the back with exit to the backyard garden. In the private garden, which is exclusively available to our guests, bamboo deck chairs on both beach sand and forest floor invite you to relax. Here you can enjoy the afternoon sun in a deck chair or in a hammock. You will also find a covered space with clotheslines for hanging laundry and wet swimwear. Furthermore, there is a giant trampoline on the property, which is also available for use by our guests, of course at their own risk. Upon arrival we provide drinking water. We do not recommend drinking the tap water. Other cold drinks, such as soft drinks, beer, red wine and white wine, can be purchased from us. For a fee we offer a laundry service (including drying) and a grocery shopping service in the village 7 km away. Enjoy the impressive nature and biodiversity of the flora and fauna of the jungle, discover shady biking and hiking trails along the coast, walk with your feet in the water along the kilometer long, secluded beach, splash/swim in the tropical, Caribbean, year-round 28 degree sea on some days (not always possible due to strong surf and currents), watch surfers surfing and enjoy a cool drink at a beach bar. Bluff Beach is a popular spot with surfers. Surfing competitions are held seasonally. The big, waves are especially At Bluff Beach there are 3 other restaurants besides the beach bar, which provide culinary delights with changing menus. Guest access On our natural property you can move freely and we offer a trampoline, a hammock and hanging chairs and pure nature with howler monkeys that regularly come to feed in our trees. The Redfrog and many other exotic frogs are here in large numbers in the garden. Near the terrace of the cottage lives in one of the jungle giants an opossum, which likes to look in the evening. We have also had a large coati in the garden twice. Behind the bathroom is a small sunny private garden with deck chairs. Other things to note There are no shopping facilities at Bluff Beach. If you want to be self-sufficient, you would need to plan ahead for your stay – however, we can certainly help you with our own stock planning if something runs out or is missing. We will provide you with free drinking water in a large gallon. The tap water, being pure rainwater, is only suitable for showers and toilets and is not always completely odorless as we deliberately avoid chemicals for the sake of the environment. We offer a laundry service and are happy to give you tips and information about the possible activities and nature. We collect garbage separately and take it to the local recycling center in town. Please separate garbage by recyclables in the available garbage cans. We provide a delicious, full breakfast upon advance reservation. Local and international drinks can be found in the refrigerator. You can help yourself to the nibbles & snacks. There is a price list available, in which you please write this down. If you need something hot and don't want to go to the local restaurants for dinner, we will prepare spring rolls, fries or a delicious large pizza for you. The Bluff Beach area is a developing area. It is possible to see and hear construction or gardeners. From 5 pm onwards there is always complete silence and all you can hear is the sounds of the jungle and the crashing of the waves. The accommodation is a 30-40 minute drive from the main town of Colón Island. There is a local bus or cabs, and you can rent quads/ATVs as well as bicycles in the main town.
