Perfect for a family getaway or a small group of friends, you will have direct access from the backyard to the lake for less than most other waterfront homes on the lake. Only an hour away Dallas, Cedar Creek Lake combined with Island Park Cottage is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the city life for a few days. The space Location: Located in a quiet neighborhood in Gun Barrel City, you can take a walk or ride a bike through the neighborhood. You have access to the Walmart and Brookshires Grocery store within a few minutes' drive. Visit the multiple local restaurants or choose to eat at home on the water. Inside: Open concept living room/kitchen with refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, cooking spices, blender, food processer, toaster, instant pot that also air frys and slow cooks, pots and pans, dishes and silverware. TV includes Netflix and Hulu. 1st Bedroom- Queen bed with bedding and pillows. 2nd Bedroom- Corner unit twin and full bed with nightstand between. A trundle/twin bed is located under the full bed. Bathroom- Stand up shower and sink. Sunroom- Sofa with queen sleeper overlooking backyard. Washer and Dryer located in the sunroom. There is full length wrap around drapery to provide privacy when desired. Outside: The lake levels can vary throughout the year, please ask about current lake levels if your visit will include plans to get out on the lake. Raised deck from the back door that overlooks the backyard, firepit, cornhole game, dock and canal. The grill is located right off deck with overhead string lights to help see across the expansive backyard. Paddleboard and kayak as well as life vests are provided. Bring your fishing poles to fish directly from our fishing dock, or just relax overlooking the water. We have included a stairway to help you get in and out of the water. Take a ride on our beach cruisers in our beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. If you are bringing a boat, it is possible to tie up for the day to the dock. We do not recommend leaving your boat in overnight as there is not a boat lift and can be damaged if the water gets rough. Tying up to the dock is done at the guest's risk. We take no responsibility for any damage that could occur to your boat. Local boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away. ***Please note that we are currently working on an upper deck at the water. Though it is almost complete, it is not ready for guests and we ask that you stay away from that area. Other things to note Located in Gun Barrel City, you won't have to go far to find some great restaurants or grocery stores if you choose to cook at home. We have stocked our kitchen with everything you would need to cook your own delicious meal and have included a backyard grill for your use. Dine al fresco on the deck overlooking the backyard and canal. If it's too hot or cold outside, our Sunroom provides the perfect space for you to enjoy the view outdoors but remain cozy or cool inside.
