Our Southwest studio is 3.1 miles from Prescott's d/town. We are located in the hills dotted w/ custom homes. We provide a comfortable, well-equipped stay w/ everything you need in the open floor plan. Enjoy a good night sleep in a comfy queen bed, & quiet neighborhood. The space While you stay at Prickly Pear you will enjoy the uniqueness of the cozy studio where you have all the amenities in the comfortable well-designed space. Views from the property are spectacular: You will see panoramic views of the S.F. Peaks, Mingus Mountain, Willow Lake, the Dells! The open floor plan offers a bedroom, living area, kitchenette, and dining area with electric fireplace and Smart TV to enjoy your movies and shows by accessing our Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, and ESPN accounts. You have a French door with access to the front of the studio where you can sit and enjoy the sunsets. The sliding door leads out to the back of the property The kitchenette has a toaster, fridge, freezer, and 2 coffee making options for our coffee connoisseurs. There’s a cute indoor dining table for two. Cozy up to the electric fireplace on the chilly days and evenings. The comfortable queen bed with feather duvet is positioned for you to enjoy the fire and tv. Or lounge on the couch for the same experience. If you're fortunate to be an early riser you will love the morning sky, step out to the back patio and enjoy the sunrise. The studio is positioned to enjoy both sunsets from front patio and sunrises from back patio. Your bathroom is UNIQUE as it was built into the rocks. Step free European shower room with rain shower, toilet, sink vanity, built in Bluetooth speaker, mood lighting, motion sensor lighting, heater, and clothes storage. There is an outdoor dining table on the property for you to use if you feel like eating outside. The house sits on property with very lovely natural topography which includes rugged steps and pebble walkways to explore the property, and to feel connected with the massive boulders. Paths and steps also lead to the conversation fire pit with comfortable Adirondack chairs situated below the casita next to the seasonal waterfall and pond. Lots of natural and intimate seating spots in the boulders to enjoy the birds, views, trees, cactus, grasses, and artistic sculptures while you relax and enjoy. You are welcome to meander around the property. The walkways and property are also available to the other rental. ***We allow for one domestic pet. We charge a $40 per night fee. Please let us know ahead of time if you're going to be bringing a pet. Please note that our property in not fenced. Guest access You have access to the driveway, patio in front of rental, balcony off the back of the rental, the firepit, and walking paths around the property. Please use the property and paths at your own risk as there are all naturally scaped and have uneven surfaces and prickly cactus throughout. No access to main house, top driveway, or patios off the main house. Other things to note Most importantly, our septic system is a grinder pump, and you will hear it switch on. It’s very important that nothing is put in the toilet other than human waste and toilet paper. No tampons, pads, condom, flushable wipes allowed. If the pump jams, please let us know asap!!! Your bathroom is unique as it was built into the rocks. In the monsoon season and heavy snow season, there is a little natural water run-off. Don’t be alarmed if there is water on the tile and a little rock dust sediment. It trickles into the drain in the shower area. Feel free to help it along towards the drain with the squeegee provided. We live on the property at certain times of the year. There are 2 short term rentals on the property (both sleep 2). One is the free-standing casita next to the main house. This one is attached to the main house. The other guests have their own balcony, patio and use of the walking paths and property. They do not use your designated patio area but it’s viewable from the other unit. The driveway in front of the studio is on first come bases. If the other unit is occupied and using the driveway to park, you can park on the 3rd driveway with gravel surface just below the guesthouse. There is a path and solar lit steps that lead up to the guest house. If you require no steps access, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate your request by saving the parking spot in front.
