Take a short trip down the road to the Mt Starr King / Mt Waumbek trailhead off of Starr King Rd. Enjoy an easy hike or bike riding at the PondiCherry wildlife refuge. Ten minutes away on Route 2 in Randolph you can park at the Appalachia Trailhead where an easy hike brings you to Gordon Falls and then continue up the trails for more falls. Also just down the road is the Pond of Safety, accessible only by 4 wheel drive. Pond of Safety road is also a part of the snowmobile trail system leading to Berlin, Gorham, and the Jericho trails.
