Situated amidst the captivating Pocono region, this area boasts an array of notable attractions, including the renowned Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski Destinations, thrilling indoor water parks, exhilarating ATV adventures, pulse-pounding paintball arenas, invigorating white water rafting, the historically significant Jim Thorpe, scenic horseback riding trails, picturesque state parks, exceptional golf courses, abundant fishing spots, the lively Mount Airy Casino, the popular Crossing Outlets, and the exciting Pocono Raceway. Within a mere 10-minute walk or 5-minute drive from our home, you will find a host of fantastic amenities provided by the community: • A picturesque 190-acre lake, fed by natural springs (please note that a PA fishing license is required for fishing enthusiasts) • A meticulously maintained sandy beach, open for your enjoyment from Memorial Day to Labor Day • A refreshing community pool, available for use from Memorial Day to Labor Day (weekends only until Father's Day weekend) • Engaging sand volleyball courts • Invigorating basketball facilities • Well-maintained tennis courts • A charming clubhouse complete with a restaurant • Pedal boat rentals during the summer season Each booking at our home entitles you to 8 wristbands, granting access to the community's seasonal amenities, including the pool, lake, beach, tennis courts, and more. Additionally, you will receive a pass for your vehicle(s). They have the 1 and 2 person kayak for rent. It's $20 (cash) per hour, $10 each additional half hour. Minimum age to rent is 18. And they need an ID along with a wristband. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE COMMUNITY AMENTIES IF THEY CLOSE EARLY OR ARE NOT OPEN ON CERTAINS DAYS DUE TO STAFFING ISSUES. Rest assured that our community is private and family-friendly, with round-the-clock security patrols ensuring your peace of mind. To maintain a serene atmosphere, quiet hours are observed from 9 pm to 9 am. The speed limit is strictly enforced throughout the community. As per community guidelines, guests are required to read and sign the Towamensing Trails Rules of Conduct before gaining access. Any fines incurred for violating community rules will be the responsibility of the renter. The community only allow us to have 8 amenity passes, no extra passes can be purchased. This is the community guidelines. There is also a community form that needs to be filled out in order to receive your 8 wristbands and trash compactor pass, guest are responsible to fill this form out and read entire messages that are sent out via this platform. failure to not fill out form and not get your amenity passes we are not liable for. Other things to note ***Staying in the Pocono Mountains*** If this is your first time visiting the Poconos, we want to ensure you understand what staying in the mountains entails. This house is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by trees and nature. As a result, you may encounter wildlife, as this is their home and we are merely guests. Wildlife may include flying insects, spiders, ants, squirrels, flying squirrels, mice, foxes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, snakes, turtles, coyotes, and black bears. Smaller creatures and insects can occasionally find their way inside depending on the outside conditions. We have monthly exterminator visits to minimize this, but being in the mountains, anything is possible. Additionally, please note that the mountain infrastructure differs from that of the city. Small wind or rain storms can occasionally cause power or internet outages in specific areas, including our home. Power outages may affect the water supply as we are on wells and the well pumps need power to work. Usually, these outages are restored within 8-10 hours, which is a quick turnaround given the weather conditions. For outages lasting less than 24 hours, no refund or compensation will be provided. For outages exceeding 24 hours, compensation will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Lastly, please be aware that extreme heat or cold waves can put stress on the house's heating or cooling systems, and these systems may struggle to keep up during very high or very low temperatures. ***Summer Bookings*** During Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, this is our busiest season. Check-in time is at 5 PM, and early check-in is nearly impossible. If we can accommodate an early check-in, the earliest would be 3 PM. If you need to arrive earlier than 3 PM, we recommend booking the day before to ensure you can arrive any time on your desired day. ***Community Information*** We are located in a private gated community that requires a guest registration form for security and emergency purposes. The form will ask for full names and ages of each guest, as well as vehicle and driver information, including the main registrant's license ID number and the plate numbers of all vehicles entering the community. Names on the forms must match the legal ID of the driver. ***Pet Rules*** If you are bringing your pet during your stay, please be aware of the following rules: Pet Fee: We will allow up to 3 pets to stay the fees are the following: $25 per stay per pet and $100 additional pet cleaning fee. This will be collected after your reservation is booked through the app. Keep Dogs Leashed: Dogs must be leashed at all times while outside. The mountain area is home to various wildlife, including bears, foxes, coyotes, other dogs (wild or loose), skunks, raccoons, and snakes. Keeping your dog on a leash is essential for its safety, as encounters with these animals can be dangerous. No Overnight Outdoor Stays: Do not leave your dog outside overnight. Unless your dog is a livestock guardian dog, it may become prey for bears or other wildlife. Clean Up After Your Dog: Please pick up after your dog when it goes potty. Other families, including those with small children, stay at our home and do not want to step in it. Keep Pets Off Furniture: Please keep pets off human furniture. ***Community Amenities*** (Weather Permitting) Please note that guests will receive 8 amenity badges for the duration of their stay. These badges are required for adults and children aged 5 and above. Children under 5 do not need badges to access the community's amenities. Additional badges cannot be purchased. The community does not allow more passes to be purchased or to be obtain, they cap it at 8. Wristbands are not interchangeable once placed on wrist it cannot be removed until end of stay. Availability of amenities is not guaranteed. Life Jackets: Not provided. ***Security Deposit*** Airbnb bookings do not require a security deposit. If you see a security deposit listed, it is due to a syncing glitch with other platforms. Rest assured, no deposit is needed when booking directly through Airbnb. ***Winter Bookings*** During winter months, it is highly recommended to have a vehicle with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or 4x4 capabilities due to potential heavy snowfall. ***Supplies*** We provide a starter pack of household essentials (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish detergent). If the property includes a dishwasher, washer, and dryer, we also provide cleaning agents for those. Guests staying for longer durations or with larger groups should bring additional supplies. Personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), q-tips, deodorants, or other personal care products are not provided. The house includes cooking ware (pots, pans, plates, utensils, baking dishes), but guests need to bring personal grocery items (seasonings, flour, sugar). ***FAQs*** Q. Can you check in early or check out late? A. Early check-in or late check-out is determined the day before arrival. If granted, early check-in is at 3 PM, and late check-out is at 1 PM at no cost. For earlier arrival or later departure, a $75 fee per 2 hours applies. Booking the day before or after your desired stay ensures availability. Q. Do you offer any discounts or additional discounts? A. Our listed price is the best available. Discounts apply automatically for stays of 3 days or more. Q. Do you supply firewood? A. No, firewood is not supplied and must be purchased by guests. Q. What's the latest we can check in? A. Check-in is anytime after 5 PM, with no cutoff time. Q. Do we have to bring propane to use the grill? A. No, propane is provided.
