The door of this unit is located in the front of the house closest to the street. With one bedroom and one bathroom located on the ground level along with the kitchen and the living room. If you’d like an early check-in, shoot us a message the day before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, you’re welcomed to check-in anytime! Stay rested with blackout drapes as well. Sleeping Arrangements _____________ In addition to the queen bed, our space features a queen size pullout couch and a queen-sized air mattress! Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that: We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us. We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule. Parking _____________ Our driveway fits up to two cars in tandem. Please park in the driveway closer to the street as the back of the driveway is for the property in the rear. There is also plenty of street parking available as well directly outside our house! Entry _____________ The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the duplex front door and on the unit door. To enter each one, enter the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock. When leaving, enter that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock. Our Availability _____________ We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste! Extra Sleeping Arrangements _____________ Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two! Air Mattress: Stored in one of our closets, you will find a queen-size air mattress for additional sleeping space. Designed for camping, it’s extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate. You’ll find extra linens and towels in the pullout couch storage compartment as well. Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, two pillows, a comforter, and two sets of sheets and two pillowcases. Message us to schedule a quick call if you have any issues! House Rules _____________ We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules: - No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know. - Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm. - Please leave your shoes at the door. - No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies. - No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky. - If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair. - Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. Our Neighborhood _____________ Centrally located, you can find everything you need within a one-mile radius, including downtown Ann Arbor and its shops and restaurants, University of Michigan’s Central Campus, and the famous Zingerman’s Roadhouse or Deli! Or, if you’re looking to stretch your legs and bond with the great outdoors, check out the beautiful Eberwhite Woods are just across the road. For the W Huron Street route, turn left out of the house onto Montgomery and walk up to Washington Street. Take a right onto W Washington, then a left onto Crest, and then a short left to the bus stop on W Huron. Take the number 4 or 5 buses to town! For the W Liberty Street route, turn right out of the house onto Montgomery and turn left onto Bemidji Drive. Take your first right onto Crest and then a right towards the bus stop on W Liberty Street. A range of bus routes from here take you wherever you need to go!
