This private property has a covered pavilion, screened-in porch, deck and a nice walking area in the woods to see foliage and birds. Great place to get away from it all. Ample parking. Nice set up for guests who need two separate areas. Kitchen has all you need to prepare a gourmet dinner or something simple to enjoy on the deck or screen porch. The space Full kitchen in the main house, laundry room, linens, utensils and all you need to be comfortable while staying in the property. The cottage is a renovated 19th century Victorian with original hardwood floors and barge board walls -- one of its unique features as evidenced by wall sockets and switches mounted on door frames or baseboards since there are no studs framing the walls. Barge board homes are rare now and this one is an architectural gem. The grounds encompass an acre and a half filled with native and landscaped plants. Guest access The entire home, screen porch, yard, deck, covered pavilion, and guest house. The main house has a master bedroom with a double bed. The guest house consists of two rooms, one with two twin beds, another with one twin bed, and a full bathroom. Other things to note It is very hot and humid in South Louisiana. Expect rain showers daily. We may see temperatures above 100 degrees in late summer. Please do not manually adjust the Nest thermostat. It is set at a very comfortable 70 degrees during the day. The guest house AC is adjustable and keeps that space very cool.
