The Barrel House is in our 6th year of operation and originally we catered to "Bourbon enthusiasts". However, over these past 5 years, we have had so many guests stay with us for family vacations and reunions, bird watching, star gazing, history seeking, biking and touring as well as spirits! Whatever your reason to visit, you have EVERY reason to stay at the Barrel House. Our version of night life is cozying up to the fire pit with a good pour, good friends and a spectacular view of the stars. The space We are close enough to so much of what Kentucky has to offer, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle to fully appreciate country living. Our rooms are clean and comfortable, which boast king sized beds and 1 luxury bathroom. It's great set up for 2 couples or a family to visit. Our open floor plan encourages groups to gather together. We also offer the outdoor experience...enhanced! Fishing and swimming here at our house, and hiking and the SMOKELESS fire pit to sit around and unwind at the bnb. We have a newly build pavillion just off the entrance door so you can unload you belongings in comfort even in the rain. It also houses a large table to accomodate 6 and a new grill for dining outside. We are able to supply you with seasoned wood for $5 per bundle. You may also bring your own wood or if you're adventurous, you can forage for your own. Guest access We give you access to the whole house except a small storage room that is posted private. In the past, we preferred to meet our guests upon arrival to give the key and answer any questions you may have. However, we now give you the option of no contact check ins. Let us know if this is something you are interested in. We also have marked out the back corners of our property so if you do want to do a little hiking, you will be comfortable knowing that you're not going on neighbors properties. We have 6 acres here on the property, and if you want fishing and swimming, come across the road to our residence and feel free to fish and swim here Other things to note Comfort and a great vacation experience have always and will continue to be our top priority here at the Barrel House bed and breakfast. We always go the extra mile for our guests comfort and enjoyment. We also like to get to know our guests so just know if we have our front porch light on across the road, we are welcoming guests to come and join us on the back patio for a drink and lively conversation. Reservations of more that 4 people: We charge $50 per person per night for reservations of more that 4 persons
