Riverside Cowboy Cabin
On the banks of a trout-filled river, the cabin is a peaceful retreat for fly fishermen & nature lovers. The front porch-the perfect spot to relax & enjoy the view. Inside the cabin is warm and inviting. A classic wood stove and rescued wood dining table adding rustic character. Although secluded, the cabin is less than one hour from Grand Teton and Yellowstone-ideal for day trips. 2 miles away, the town of Dubois brings Old West charm, with lively bars, unique shops-steeped in cowboy culture. The space The cabin has all of the amenities-a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, with seasonings, coffee, dishes, pots & pans. The laundry room has detergent. The fire pit has wood. And one grill has charcoal & lighter fluid. The other grill is electric. There are even skewers for s’mores. Here is the layout of the cabin: a master bedroom with queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. An IKEA full sofa/bed in the kitchen topped with an additional mattress when needed. A queen sofa/bed in the TV room topped with a real queen mattress as well. Please note that there is only 1 bathroom and the entrance is through the bedroom. We try to stick to 100% cotton linens and fragrance-free chemicals in cleaning. The scent of the pine trees and sage are lovely enough. Of course, there is Yellowstone for day trips. As well as the glitzy town of Jackson for its restaurants and shopping. Each are roughly an hour and 45 minutes from the cabin. But there is so much more right around here. We have lots and lots of repeat guests. A number of them come a few times and then decide to make Dubois their home. In fact, that is exactly what your hosts did those many years ago. Guest access A big, marshmallow-roasting fire pit and a gazebo on the banks of the river are exclusive to guests in the cabin. Other things to note The Cowboy Cabin is less than 2 miles from the center of town, 50 minutes from Grand Teton National Park and another 50 minute, through GTNP to Yellowstone. the town itself is surrounded by public land, great for hiking and wild game viewing. For hunters: we are in antelope hunt area #84, mule deer area #128, and elk hunt areas 67 & 68. We have pastures for your horses as well.
