Pets allowed with pre-approval - please contact us with type, number, & size. Numerous food delivery choices as well as takeout within 20 minute drive. Fantastic Italian restaurant less than a half-a-mile away as well as small convenience store/gas station. Enjoy cooking? Very well equipped kitchen to prepare a delicious stay-in meal to enjoy inside or on the screened-in porch. Enjoy grilling? Charcoal grill available Beach towels provided. Life jackets: 1 adult M/L, 2 universal, 1 women's large, 1 women's small, 1 small/medium, 1 youth's 50-90 lbs, 1 kid's 30-50 pounds, 1 small dog, and 1 medium dog. We start you off with the basics: 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 garbage bags, one load dishwasher detergent, one load laundry detergent, hand soap at each sink, one dish sponge, and dish soap. No need to replace what you use but additional are the guests responsibility. We recommend picking up a bag of ice on your way in if you like ice as we just have old-school cube trays. (exception - 2 small locked owners closets and shed) Other things to note By booking The Mermaids Holiday you agree that we accept no liability for injury. This includes indoor and outdoor space, kayaks, paddleboards, dock, and all water based activities that are utilized by guests. There are steps and uneven surfaces throughout property inside and outside of home. We have a professional pest-control service. That said, it is Florida. There are bugs and they sometimes make their way in through open doors and windows so we cannot guarantee a bug-free stay. Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink, food out on counters, or unsealed food packaging as they are major attractants. Cleaning fee is $200. This is the amount our professional cleaning service charges Quiet hours and maximum occupancy will be strictly enforced. Disruptive and/or unsafe behavior of guests/pets will result in removal from home without refund of unused days. Maximum occupancy inside & outside house is 8 people. 10 with owner approval. No bands, DJs, parties, or gatherings allowed. If guests plan to invite others over that are not included in initial reservation, this needs to be pre-approved by owner. Just send up a message with the details. Additional charges may apply. If not pre-approved and maximum occupancy is exceeded, additional charges will apply. If unpaid, owner review of guests will include rules not followed and would not host again. Hate that this is necessary but unfortunately we have had excessive wear & tear and damages to the home due to extra guests not on the initial reservation. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Extra cleaning fee if poop is not picked up & thrown away. Please have pets poop in designated area only - this keeps the yard clean and also prevents runoff into canal (yuck). Be mindful of outgoing or incoming tide when planning your kayaking. Our canal seems to run about an hour behind Hernando Beach tide times. There are 2 Smart TVs that you can log into any services that you have membership (Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc). No cable. No local stations that we know of but your Smart TV skills might well exceed ours ;) We have a professional cleaning service. They also check toilets, sinks, and appliances to ensure they are in working order before guests arrive. There is not a garbage disposal but strainers are in place in kitchen sink.
