Fully outfitted kitchen, living room w/smart TV, and spacious bedroom. Bath has soak tub plus shower. Washer/dryer, hi-speed Internet, and two separate dedicated work spaces. Artists flock to the area inspired by the ocean/lakes/rivers, mountain/trail hikes, forests, live music, beaches, and the quiet. Come explore. The space The unit offers a spacious and functional floor plan (700 sq/ft) and every nook and cranny is used to provide storage for extended stays. Steep and high angled ceilings throughout spread sunshine to create a restful, bright and airy retreat. Even after living in Maine for over 30 years, we still experience new discoveries. Maine celebrates the outdoors, and creates fun ways to make the most of every season. As a couple, we do our best to recycle/reuse as much as possible and reduce the impact on our planet. Appliances meet energy efficiency standards, and direct or solar lighting reveal the grounds at nite. Landscapes here get fresh color hues every few months… and the natural beauty is endless! The large windows frame a view of abundant sugar or red maples, evergreens, oak, and elm trees (a great show no matter the season). We love to garden and support native birds, and our backyard sky offers a spectacular view of the stars. Watch lightening bugs or the chance for an occasional Aurora Borealis (through the eyes of your cell phone) due to solar flares. Spectacular. Guest access At the top of the exterior stairs (20 steps), we have a keypad entry, the code to which will be provided on the day of your arrival. The private entrance is to the left of the garage, and is well lit above and below. An exclusive parking spot is available to you during your stay. Other things to note We live in the main house, so installed double-insulated walls to allow guests to practice their music, watch the big game, or pursue their artistic musings at will. Where we live, the country roads are a popular training ground for runners and cyclists with areas of flat or challenging hills, and low car traffic early mornings and after dinner. We offer a bike rack under the stairs (leading up to the unit), which you’d be welcome to use. It’s not enclosed, but stays fairly dry, and was used by previous guests. We’re 15 minutes from Pine Point Beach, which is popular for runners, walkers, surfers, parasailers and sun bathing. Features a wide tidal beach with a stone jetty, and a sand bar that’s revealed during low tide. Open year round, with free parking in the Winter, and in Summer free before 8:00 am and after 4:00 pm. We have two outdoor house cats, Lego (lots of Maine Coon and very friendly) and Domino (tiny bit of coon, will eye you a hello). Feel free to pet them whenever you’re outside, they love it. Traveling Nurses, college students (JR or SR standing), and Snow Birds welcome.
