Our favorite place to escape from the daily grind, The Foxtail is an 1860s colonial home that was thoughtfully and carefully renovated to preserve the original character and introduce modern conveniences. A special place to be at any time of year, enjoy sightings of eagles and other animals, tuning in to nature's soundtrack, and of course, looking out over the oh-so-beautiful Cohansey River. The space We're in an extremely rural area. Prepare to unwind and tap out. You'll arrive after driving about half a mile down a private road. Park your car beneath the car port and enter from the rear of the house. First, you'll pass through the updated kitchen, prefect for the home chef in you. Stainless steel appliances, cookware, bakeware, and dishes, grilling tools, a standard drip coffee maker, and cutting boards are provided. The first floor features a full bathroom and one of four bedrooms. This one features a king sized bed. The laundry room is also on this level, stocked with detergent, stain remover, and bleach. A few extra towels are in the cabinets over the washer and dryer. These might come in handy if you're using the hot tub. Gather all together in the family room to watch movies or play games (including Cards Against Humanity and Catan!). Also on the first floor is a large dining room with a table offering room for eight and uninterrupted views of the river. Three additional bedrooms (2 queens, 1 king) and two full bathrooms (1 of which has a bathtub) are upstairs. The front of the house features a porch with room enough for an early morning yoga session or simply a place to sip coffee (or cocktails) and enjoy the view. Take a walk around the property, take a nap in the hammock, or soak your tired muscles in the outdoor spa. In the warmer months, dangle your feet off the dock and let it all go. And last but not least, don't forget to gather around the fire pit for conversation and s'mores. Other things to note PETS Well-behaved pets that are fully house trained are approved an a case by case basis for an additional pet cleaning fee. Note that dogs are to remain ON LEASH whenever outside as our property is not fenced in. HOT TUB Please note that hot tub availability and access must be confirmed by your host for reservations made within two weeks of your check in date, which will include an additional $200 fee. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT DATES We are not accepting check-ins or check-outs on Saturdays at this time.
