“Sandy Paws” Lower is a Pet Friendly duplex managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate and is the perfect beach location to bring the ENTIRE family, paws, boats and ALL! This 2 bed/1.5 Lower Duplex is just one row back and less than 100 feet (or paws) from our sandy shores, a moderate walk to downtown CB, and all the SEA sights, sounds, and experiences imaginable! The space Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave! The home is in the heart of Carolina Beach and moderate walking distance to the North End, Downtown CB, and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. One block Up and Over on Canal Drive is a public dock with an ICWW Kayak launch! Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a large inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for! The home is a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world charm, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everyone! Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while vacationing with us on our Island! The entry to this 2 bed/1.5 bath home opens up into a large, newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove+oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is stocked with all of the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker ready to help make yourself at home. Courtesy soap/shampoo/lotion are left in the bathroom of each bath as well as 1 starter roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, Cafe' Bustelo, Tazo Tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. The home's ONE QUEEN and ONE FULL + TWIN bunk bed consists of pillow topped encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge. There is one smart TV in each room to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or another such casting device if looking to ensure all the tech comforts from home are available during your stay! We equip each suite with its own combination of books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our guests to enjoy themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced, and we do not always realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know! The outdoor shower is located at the front of the building to help get that sand off of those toes! There are a variety of miscellaneous beach items on the lower left of the home for all guests to enjoy! Guest access The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a private deck/patio. The front yard is shared by BOTH suites and should not be used for pets to run loose unattended. Proper pet etiquette and owner responsibility should be followed at all times! GOLF CARTS •To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such. •ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. • SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience. •NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We work extremely hard to keep all our guests safe, and sometimes that takes teamwork! •There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee for one approved pup and a $50 pup fee for a second. There is a two-dog maximum unless an exception is granted. Cats are not allowed on premises. If inquiring about a different pet request, please ask! Pets are NEVER allowed on ANY furniture items. •April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher allows dogs on leash on the beach 24/7. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an awareness as to which beach you are on at all times! Pup rules for Pet Friendly homes *Rules and reminders to prevent additional charges! •Any interactions between your furry son or daughter and other neighbors (animal OR human) are completely at your discretion (and *liability). Please be a responsible pup owner and protect yourselves and others as may be necessary! •Pups are NEVER allowed on any furniture. (*Single biggest added charge from the cleaners/owners post stay.) •Be sure to use a broom or vacuum if your buddy sheds in excess. •Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment. •ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY after the potty sesh. •If maintenance needs to visit, ENSURE your pup is put in their respective kennels. This coincides with rule #1. •If the home/apartment has an outdoor shower, please use it to rinse off your pup after a day of fun. Not only will that help to prevent a potential plumbing call (typically pup hair: that would fall to the guest to remedy $), but a clean pup is much less likely to result in a post stay hygiene charge (sand+salt+stinky can =$). *As a furry Dad myself, I understand how hard it can be to find Pup Friendly accommodations! Please help us to keep our owners happy and protect the rental from damage and unnecessary wear & tear so we can always be here to support our guests with sandy paws and salty noses! •Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.
