Welcome to our family home since 2001. We are located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, 4 blocks from downtown White Salmon, and a 5 minute drive from Hood River. You will have use of our entire main level, with 3 bedrooms, a brightly lit bathroom, large kitchen, formal dining, comfortable living room, deck with BBQ and a private setting with mature landscaping that provides incredible shade all afternoon. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to ask! The space Our home is warm and comfortable, with plenty of light pouring in on all sides. Vaulted ceilings in the living room provide a spacious feel and the energy from the large Native American totem pole a good friend of ours made have always protected us and our guests. A large kitchen with gas/electric range, seating for 6, and a 3-burner BBQ are provided. We are just finishing up our evolving remodel and may have a few loose ends left to tie up here and there... it may not be perfect but it is quite comfortable The space is above a daylight basement with its own separate parking and entrance. We ask guests to walk lightly and speak softly during 9pm-7am. Some sounds from guests below may be heard. We may be using our 5th wheel trailer in the driveway. It is behind several small trees, partially visible only from the kitchen window and the side yard. We are very respectful of our guests' privacy and the exterior spaces contiguous to the home. Guest access You will have access to the entire main level of the home, including clothes washer, dryer and a freezer should you be a big into fishing. Other things to note Our home is on the main level of a two-story dupex, and the daylight basement space is also available (search for Downtown White Salmon Garden Home) in case you would like to rent the entire building for a larger group. Although the two units are completely separate and very private from each other, there may be some sound audible from the other unit.
