Mabel Dodge and Tony Luhan lived on this property from 1930 to 1939, it was originally built in 1804. Visitors included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, DH Lawrence and Willa Cather. Cowboy Suite is a newer addition, and one of only two upstairs units with those big, clear Taos Mtn views. Perfect for a family or group of 4 traveling together. The space Designated parking spot, private entrance right next to your car, brand new platform king bed in one room, two twin beds in the other, luxury sheets / towels / pillows / soaps / shampoos, gas kiva fireplace, private bathroom with tiled shower, Saltillo tile floors, Latilla ceiling with Vigas, seating area with mini fridge, and our complimentary gourmet breakfast. Our property is about 1.5 acres, and adobe structure encompass over 10,000 sq ft. Common areas include the library / lounge where great thinkers have done their thing for many years, dining area for breakfast, a big clean hot tub with a signup sheet for privacy, back lawn to daydream in the cottonwoods and the beautiful green grass and big mountain views visible out your windows. Guest access Cowboy Suite is a totally private two bedroom, 1 bathroom enclave. You can stay in your own space, or enjoy the common areas on the rest of our property. Gourmet continental breakfast is served communally in the kitchen from 8- 9:30am daily. Exceptional local staff is onsite most of the time if you have any questions or needs. Other things to note We are 1 mile from the center of Taos, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood called El Prado. Cids market (local, organic, etc,) is 5 minute walk, as is the Cellar (exceptional wine / beer / spirits). Guadalajara Grill is across the street, and The Love Apple shares our driveway. Arroyo Seco (enchanting small town with food, art and shopping) is 15 minute drive away from town. Taos Ski Valley is about 20 mins drive beyond Arroyo Seco. Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is 15 minute drive. Ojo Caliente Hot Springs about 30 minutes past the Rio Grande Bridge. Santa Fe is about 1:45 drive. Many great shops, restaurants, galleries, museums. Lots to do and see in the area!
