Cook Forest offers many hiking trails to be explored as well as The Fire Tower. The nearby Clarion River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing (PA fishing license required). Also close to The Allegheny National Forest. (14.5 mi. to the Park Office) The space 2 Bedrooms - 1 Queen bed upstairs (4 standard pillows). Downstairs bedroom - 1 Twin, 1 Bunkbed - (1 standard pillow per bed) MAIN FLOOR offers a small kitchen with a skylight, gas stove, microwave and compact refrigerator( a full sized refrigerator is located on the lower level in the utility room). Complete kitchen has cookware, toaster, coffee maker, electric skillet, dinnerware, and utensils. 2 bar seats for eating at the counter. Folding table, chairs and TV trays are also available for dining. LIVING ROOM has gas fireplace (available for use in Fall/Winter months) that is controlled by designated wall thermostat. Central heat controlled by separate wall thermostat. Portable AC unit in adjoining bedroom - Please only use the Cool Setting Internet available Stereo receiver and speaker Accent lighting throughout. Livingroom and upstairs bedroom have hardwood floors. Ceiling fans in Living Room and Upstairs bedroom Large covered porch for enjoying the forest views. Open upper and lower deck. Gas Grill on open lower deck. (Please Only Use on Open Lower Deck) Bathroom is located on the main floor. Spiral staircase - NOT RECOMMENDED FOR YOUNG CHILDREN Lower level living room offers TV/DVD - There is no cable but streaming is available through Smart TV or you can bring your own DVD's. Free standing gas fireplace (available Fall/Winter months). Oscillating fan/box fan The lower level sitting room has tile floor and the bedroom is fully carpeted and has 1 twin bed and a bunkbed. Walk out basement to backyard. Firepit, chairs, 2 seat swing and picnic table. A Forest Fire due to improper supervision would be tragic. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. There are boundary line signs which should be respected as to avoid trespassing on neighboring properties. The property extends to the wooded area to the left of the cabin boundary signs and behind the cabin, across the small creek to the posted area. Other things to note Check In is at 3PM or after. Check Out is 11AM. PLEASE CHECK THE LIST OF ITEMS TO BRING which can be found under "The Space" in the listing description. I ask that street shoes or boots not be worn while inside my cabin so we can protect the hardwood floors, carpet and area rugs. I have several shoe/boot trays inside for outside footwear to be placed. We love our cabin and want to share it when we're not using it. It's a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the surroundings and kick back with friends or family. IT IS NOT a wild party cabin! The cabin is not really suitable for toddlers or young pre-school children due to the spiral staircase. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH or Pet Hank, The Moose. Oils, etc. from hands over an extended period of time will destroy his fur. PLEASE DO NOT PARK OR DRIVE THROUGH ANY PART OF THE GRASS AREAS. There is a driveway. I anticipate being readily available through messages on the Airbnb platform to answer questions or assist as needed. Only in an emergency will I come to the property so that you can enjoy a private stay. Check-out Procedure: PLEASE leave our cabin in TIDY condition. Please wash and put away and dirty dishes before check out. Please leave the cabin in good order by sweeping or wiping up any food, etc. Please put kitchen trash in outside trash can before check out. Please turn off the lights and all fans Please make sure all doors and windows are locked.
