The space This fully renovated cottage includes a mix of antiques and modern furnishings thoughtfully chosen for elegance, luxury, and comfort. The updated and fully equipped kitchen includes brand new appliances. The living room is located just off the kitchen, and includes a convertible couch that is perfect for children or an additional 3rd guest, as well as a dining table and counter seating facing through the opening to the kitchen. French doors lead you to a private outdoor patio seating with wonderful views of the property and countryside. The beautifully appointed bedroom features a king size bed, and black out curtains to ensure the best night sleep! The renovated bathroom with shower and tub is located directly outside the entrance to the bedroom. The guesthouse is located on a historic property that was originally developed in 1788 as a tavern/inn, and served as a center for regional travel, mail, and voting during America’s early days. Distinguished figures including Marquis de Lafayette stopped at the tavern on their way to visit Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. The guest house was as at one point a functioning smokehouse and kitchen for the property. It has since been updated several times to now serve as a luxurious guest house. Guest access Please note the pool is a shared space available to the other guests staying on the property. The pool is available for use between the hours of 930 am and 6pm.
