Casa Corotu is located in Torio Hills a 10 minute's walk to the beach with a a trail to access Torio river. Fiber Optic WiFi and two work spaces. The property surrounded by big trees that keep the house cool, which also provide shelter for birds and wildlife. The house is NOT childproof, minimal railing system. It's a great house to live the experience of #toriolife and all it has to offer. It is also an opportunity to experience the jungle in an open-style home with a mesmerizing treetop view. The space Cozy, warm, calm, comfortable, and with large open spaces with dim romantic warm lights. The feeling on the second floor is of a tree house, it combines minimalistic rustic wooden elements making this space very peaceful, thanks to an epic mountain view with endless tones of green. This pet-friendly house offers three large and comfortable bedrooms with A/C, ceiling fans, and mosquito net. Two queen beds and two twin beds accommodate 6 people comfortably. Two big bathrooms with hot water, good pressure, and the luxury soap bars products by @amazilia. A Washing machine, dryer, bluetooth speaker, and WiFi. The Kitchen is fully equipped, comfortable, and spacious with a big fridge, ice machine, and cold water, as well as the basics (Coffee, sugar, olive oil...) You will also find a Coffee maker, a Nespresso machine (bring your capsules), a little oven, and a blender. Guest access The house includes a detailed Guidebook with local tours and tips. The road is in good condition. Santiago is a 1-hour drive. Panama City, it’s around a 4-5 hour drive if you come with a car, you don’t need a 4x4 the get to the property, a small car will make it. If you like to explore and will go to Morrillo beach, especially during the rainy season a 4x4 is highly recommended. There are small buses that go from the terminal in Santiago to Torio every hour till 17:00. Other things to note The dry season starts in December and until April, this time of the year offshore winds blow almost all day long, hot, sunny & breezy, the nights are very fresh. Great time for ocean activities, stargazing, and harvesting wild fruits like bananas, mango, rose apple, and local fruits you will discover. The wet season is humid and rainy, but it is super green and teeming with life and mystic clouds interweave with the mountains. The waterfalls and the river spots are endless, with wildlife and butterflies all over. Some days are sunny, some are cloudy, and some pouring rain. Mostly it’s a mix of the three combined. We find it beautiful all the time. Since we are located in a rural area, electricity sometimes fails. There are some candles for such moments. Just enjoy the silence, the stars, and the natural sounds surrounding the house. we have no generator. Something important to mention about the deck on the second floor. It has two metal string railing which is not safe to lean over and is also something to consider when coming with infants or toddlers.
